Lucy - Welcome, Its soooo good to have you here. Im really not sure about the Malaria issue but I would think being winter that it would probably be ok. Just cover up well at night.

Sue - I am flying. I never take malaria pills anyway as I react badly to them. My gynae is not getting back to me and the receptionist says he'll phone when the prog results are in .... which could be friday when I am already mid air! You are making me feel better. My instinct told me it would be fine but I also don't want to be irresponsible.
Next question where do you get the nets from?!!

**correction: malaria hasnt been a prob for US during winter seasons but you should prob check with ure dr to be on the safe side x

lucy, im also going to zambia\zim in sept. my dh is from there and from prev times if been there, malaria hasnt been an issue. i do normally cover up between dusk and down and use the nets and sprays, just dont use anything with some ingredient starting with f but cant remember-porridge brain. will check for you tho

you flying or driving? that might be the deciding factor!

Hello Fairies!!

I got my BFP last night and went for bloods today. I was going to wait a bit before joining, but decided to have a sneak peak at the thread and nearly fell off my chair when I saw that my EDD was already up on the first page!! Thanks Kimika, nothing like peer pressure!!

I think I know most of you, but for those that I don't here is short version of "my story"!!

I am 35 and DH is 36. We have been TTCing for 14 months and I had an MC in january. To get this BFP I had a scan and ovidrel shot and the uber sexy and romantic "timed intercourse"!!
I am obviously a little cautious about celebrating but I am soooooo happy. I have had this vague nausea for almost a week now, which I never had before so I am taking that a good sign and loving the constant reminder!! Weird I suppose.

I already have a question for you ladies, I am supposed to go to Zambia on friday. I am worried about the malaria risk. Can I go and be ultra cautious with spray etc as it is winter and it has been cold there. Or no chances and cancel?

Thanks Vix!! I was so shocked. I mean, after I started that thread on TTC and travelling, DH was set on no baby and a few days later I got a BFP! so that whole conversation was too late!!
