well I only wanted to go around 8 weeks to make sure there would be a heart beat. but they insisted we have one yesterday to make sure that nothing is wrong due to my cramping!!

and since that puts me at only 3 weeks, I'll only be 6w5 days when we do have our scan in joburg

LOL I've never just seen a dot. With Kayla & Megan I went for first scan at 11 weeks so they were already little babies.

Yes maybe when I go for a scan I will feel better. Hope so. I get my moments where I'm very exited and then I get my moments where I just want to cry!

We are getting our new car today. Hubby couldn't wait to get a family car, so I'm a bit excited about that. Going to miss my Fiat Panda!

ah Joli, maybe after your scan you will bond more?? it's difficult to bond when you dont feel anything...
DH says it was actually only real for him yesterday when he saw the scan even though it was a little black dot! haha

i feel better today. still woke with those pains last night but immediately went to warm the bean bag and take the anti-spasm medication i was given and didnt last as long or not as intense. just wish it would stop happening because i'm tired of waking EVERY hour!!

got out 'wedding celebration' today with Dh's family who couldnt make it to SA. i hope my dress fits!!!

Fawhaway - I'm also going the midwife route. My first appointment is at 12 weeks with them. Only seeing the gynae at 19 weeks. But I did make an appointment with a sonographer for 9 weeks - would just like to confirm my dates.

Girls, my boobs are not even bigger. I don't pee more or nothing. Just extremely tired. And the toothpaste smell this morning was just a bit overwhelming

I don't know if it's normal but with my girls I were so excited about being pregnant. I feel that I haven't bonded with this baby yet . It's a strange feeling and I'm so flipping nervous for having 3 kids. I keep thinking that I'm not going to cope and what if this and what if this. Hope things get better.

Meags - I hope you are feeling better today. Stupid drs! I hate it when they dont listen!!
Have you tried taking some paracetamol. I find that tylenol works the best.

AFM: I am just trying to take things easy. 1 day at a time. I got my prog test back, 148.8. Im not sure how to interpret that. But my gynae says its ok, and Im seeing him on Tuesday at 12.
Im just praying and using positive thinking that this cysy hasnt gotten any bigger.
I do feel a little less uncomfortable...so maybe thats good news.

so i had awful pains again last night. hardly slept. every 60-90 minutes I would get strong cramps and back ache and try wee/poo/something to stop the pain. it lasted anywhere from 15-30 minutes and was from midnight to 8am.

so I went to the doctor...what a waste.
she is a family friend of DH's mom. I asked if she'd check my urine for UTI since this can cause cramps and she said no, as she thinks the first thing to do is send me for a scan.
She asked when last period was, I explained it's pointless calculating gestation from that as I ovulated late and expect I'm 3 weeks now. She ignored me and made me to be 6-7 weeks. she called a sonographer and said I was 6-7 weeks with contractions!!!!!!
so doc didnt even check my urine or blood pressure. she did nothing which pissed me off.
Sonographer had to do an internal which I knew since I'm 3 weeks only. Found egg in uterus measuring 2-3 weeks, so exactly since my "known" conception date. then he said either i will keep getting contractions, bleed and miscarry, or everything will be fine. he says i must go for bloods on monday again as the egg is small for 6-7 weeks....ya...ya think?? I FLIPPIN OVULATED LATE!!!! they didnt listen to anything I said. So I am not any further in discovering these pains
DH's mom is calling the doc back to order a urine test for me
Everyone seems to be stressed now including DH. originally he didnt think the first bloods i did yesterday were necessary. now the scan cost R600 and bloods on monday will be another R200 and he says I HAVE to go for them nice to see he cares.

But I am annoyed.......although glad the egg/bean measures correctly for my known conception date and blood count and that it's in the uterus

My little boy Markus was born on 27/05/2008 after struggling with clomid etc for 14 months and then conceiving on my first cycle with Fertomid..In December 2009 AF decided to take a l.o.a. of about 90days and after going to another gynae and 4months of meds we conceived on 2nd cycle Fertomid..and here I am...
