Thanks Tazzy! I think Sue said she had a abdomal and you wouldn't see anything even at 8 weeks on an abdominal. Am sure she'll see it in 2 weeks time, I'm happy I waited til 8 weeks cause that's really a time when if you don't see things like heartbeat you know it's a problem - certainty (of some sort!! ) is important to me!!

yup i will get an internal next time

ive also had an ob ovum-emotional rollercoaster for weeks. not nice. Im not sure how much you could see with an internal at 6 weeks but its better that i dont know too much until 8 weeks like you. Sadly, ive never been able to hear to heartbeat with either of my other two so im praying that this will be different...!

Kimika - Where are you? How did the scan go?

Cath - Congrats on the good news!

Meags - Dont stress to much about it now, when you go for your scan back in SA you'll be able to get a more accurate EDD according to CRL.(crown rump length)

Sue - Im sure you would have seen a heartbeat if you had a transvaginal scan. What did you see? A yolk sac?

Joli - I think its only natural to have those feelings. Once you've seen your bean in a few weeks time you'll be over the moon.

Ja, because of the blighted ovum experience earlier in year I was determined to *only* go at 8 weeks (so they could do an internal and say to me yes looks good or no it doesn't)

At 6 weeks you won't see anything externally but when you go again will you get an internal?

This was an internal and we heard the hb immediately - last time it was just an empty sac!

congrats cath! thats awesome! i had my scan at 6w1d (abdominal) but he could only confirm preg and not see much. i have another one in two weeks. was yours internal?
