Amy ja breastfed babies tend to have the mustard poo, w is bottle fed so it's been dark green and nice and firm - not runny like it is now. Anyway went to the doc turns out he does have a slight temperature and now has some anti biotics, stuff for cramps and one other thing as well to take for 3 days and he should be fine. poor little thing!!! It is a tummy bug of some sort who knows from where! But sure he'll be fine we were gonig to go out for a lovely sunday family lunch but think we will def be staying in with little one. luckily thank GOD he is not crynig or anything just listless (which is rather scary!) and quiet and sleeps alot I was saying to Joli I was so envious of Callum snuggling up to her! William is so at ease with everyone by yessterday I was thinking mmm, what special place do I have as mommy!? I'd love him to snuggle me and not be able to be without me LOL! Since he's bee nsick though he is a bit more snuggly but as Joli says not all babies are snuggly I think W is quite independent. We'll see how it develops! Thanks everyone for the input!!!

Hey ladies.

Meags I think cats can sense when we down. And I think it makes them sad too. I remember last year when I was so so down and I use to lie in those sitz baths, sometimes I would just sit there and cry and my cats would come and sit next to the tub and put there paws up on the side and look at me so concerned. Ag Meags I think Bling can sense there something really bothering you. I so so hope things start looking brighter. From experience I learnt that it does take time. Nothing helped me as much as time. And crying when I wanted to. Just know that it won't last forever. And I agree with Emsmom about speaking about it out loud to someone. it makes a world of difference.

Rakker that amount of blood sounds scary. Glad it has eased up and the shot worked.

Betty its great that you enjoying your time and not stressing. Your reLaxed approach is really good for you and baby and its gonna be better for the birth.good luck. Thanks for the scale tip.

Cath sorry to hear W is not well. Poor baby must be so miserable. Is the mustard colour poo not normal?? H has mustard poo all the time , is it because she breastfed??? Are the vomits projectile?? I read that if they vomit projectile vomits then its a cause of concern. Good luck at the doctors.

Re the med aid I mean REALLY!! Sorry man they are impossible hey! But sending you positive vibes, remember Joli got the car insurnace people to pay am sure you'll also be lucky with the medical aid I mean REALLY! As if hospital isn't stressful enough!! As far as I'm concerned med aids should operate on 1 principle - if you are covered for say hospitals or whatever - if it's GENUINE - which it clearly was - PAY UP! Good luck!!

Oh Lord Emsmom thank you!! We are at the doctor now (not a paed just a doctor on duty at the mediclinic) so hopefully he'll be able to check him out and give us good advice? On the internet and in my books everyone is like just leave it and wait a few days so thanks for pointing out the potential seriousness of it! Goodness me!!!! Will let you guys know! He did seem bit better today but definitely still not himself, not half as smiley although bit less diahorrea but still there poor little thing

Cath, just quick for you - please take him asap to Dr or even the ER - Em had that at 11 months and even though we took her to the ER at the first vomit (she had been seriously lissless for 2 days prior) she still spent 3 days in hospital. Tummy bugs in little ones can be very serious, so rather safe than sorry.

Betty, sadly I know the rules Dr's put in place with the vbac. and going over 40w is not a good sign for them, even though naturally we should be able to do it. Also the fact they wont induce or give any meds to help speed things along. But best of luck and either way you'll get your little girl soon!

Meags, hon I hope you're doing alright today, are there not free therapy or group therapy sessions you can go to? Perhaps just talking out loud to someone else about the entire process may help. Whatever happened is not your fault, nature sometimes just doesn't play nice.

Faw, nice to hear from you, glad the BF is going so well - are you stopping in 3 month so that you'll get your period?

MsDee, welcome! It does sound like you are perhaps de-hydrated, something in itself that can bring on labour. If water makes you sick, try getting a re-hydrate or game.

AFM, Kate still remains a dream, woke up only once last night between 8-7, so I got a nice sleep, and the entire family is still sleeping, so I get some quality time with the housework
Went to a meeting with some of the other cloth nappy moms yesterday which was lovely. Have now ordered Kate some purple nappies as well.
E is sleeping out night and I'm hoping on getting some "fun" time with DH. So lets home Kate plays nice and sleeps again.
Last night I had my first upset at the fact I didn't have natural, but mainly cause we got medical bills and the medical aid is not paying at all for Kates NICU (R30k) so we are going to fight that. But I just felt if I had managed natural she would not have been in nicu. Thankfully DH calmed me down a bit and with some thinking I recall that when I went for the insemination for the surrogacy the Drs had a very hard time getting the eggs in because they said my cervix had been "dented" by the previous c-section and we wonder if perhaps that was the reason I didn't Dialate properly.
Anyways, what will be will be, and at least I have my angels now.

Hey Meags, Agh sorry man it does sound spot on the the ptsd I can recommend a really amazing book that can help you by louise hay calledyou can heal your life it helps one aongs other things reframe past experience that were traumatic: i hope you will try it? Re my bf experience i dont think it ever really took off completely i was always topping up with formula for a number of reasons so when i stopped i leaked a bit for a week or so and tha was that.
William has been sick! clearly related to not bf as he would have had more antibodies i am told: basically has had diahorrea ish jut very runny poo after every feed mustard cooloured grainy very smelly he was having lovely firm dark green poo until three days ago. Symptoms are runny tummy very listless tummy makes churning sounds when drinking and ater food i mentioned the poo also sleeping alot, i did some research sounds kike normal tummy bug but will take to sister at clinic today to be sure. Shame ma he def is not well did not smile once yest does seem better today also alot of vomiting first two days?? Well by alot i mean vomted two three times :(no vomiting past day or so no temperature but def listless por agel. Ayone else experienced this wouldlove to hea yr experience and wha you did? Cahmx
