Shame Rakker. Are you bfing? How did you manage with your lg. Very glad you are sorted though.

Betty I could never have sat through a movie never mind 2. And you are over. Wow, sounds like baba is very comfy in there. Til thurs....

Kimika poor little sausage. Hope you did manage to change the app. Hope mamma feels better soon too.

Oh Meags those groups are awesome. A trouble shared is a trouble halved(my granny always said!)

Emsmom what a relief that med aid was a mix up. Kate is growing so well, you must be a good cow, hee hee.:-D

Thanks for all the questions about Tessa. We really do seem to have turned a corner. The chiro has helped big time. We are now in a feed for 1 hour and then rest/sleep for 2 hours routine. So far so good. Also the sleep after bath is usually at least 4 hours so all good for now. Yippee. It is also so nice having my Mum back. She seems a bit nervous of stepping on my toes! But she loves holding T and can't get enough me her which gives me a break. :-)

Kimika - hope you feel better, not great being run down :(
Did you manage to move R's clinic appointment?

Emsmom- glad that the medical aid is being sorted out... Crazy that it all got messed up like that.
I am seeing gynae again on Thursday. So will see what he has to say - odds are a c- section date, although he did mention the option of bein monitored every third day or so  I guess I am that small percent of ladies who walk until 42 weeks..
Enjoy the baby gym. I did Moms and babes; and baby massage with Matthew when he was little and really enjoyed it. Looks like the moms and babes in Table View has closed, but hope to do something similar with this LG- when she eventually arrives....

Rakker, so glad you got sorted out, sorry that you had to go through all of that. Hope you are feeling better. Are you breast feeding! Shame man I feel for you...

Meags- glad you are getting more sleep. Colic really sucks, you are really doing very well. Just take each day as it comes..
Good on you for joining those mommy groups, it will do you the world of good to meet people in the same boat as you!

Afm- had a restful day, no more lower back pain, so nothing is happening, went for a Mannie and peddie, who knows when I will be able to do that again? And also went to watch another movie.- 2 movies in a week that's more cinema time than I've had in over 3 years- lol
I must still complete my uif forms and also want to do an SMS list to announce the arrival of LG. Last time I think I did it via the baby city or websites.
Have you all got something wonderful planned for Mother's day? For some of you your very first Mother's day! Hope it is extra special.

Mom to Matthew, born 8 March 2008
baby girl due 29 April 2011

Rakker so glad you are sorted out and hope u start feeling better soon. is someone helping with your kids?

EmsMom - Kate is growing so nicely!!! hope you sort out the medical aid (yet again!)

BettyF - how u feeling????????? still going??? I am still pumping.....
I dont know how to have the heart to stop!!! However now I pump before sleeping and then I try to only pump again at the 5am feed. by then my boobs are like rocks but hey...its life.
will update on colic calm at the end...

Lucy how things going?

Kimika hope you feel better soon

Cant scroll any further...but Cath I do remember to ask you how W is doing?

AFM:
Matt cried all of lunch yesterday!! oh well...poor child. he was SO hot he could hardly drink his bottle. He was so lethargic.
Started the colic calm (as advised on FB) and not sure if it works or not yet...but it does make his poo black! He seems a little better...not sure if its the colic calm or the gripe water or the chiro!
I give gripe water at his 5pm bottle to try prevent suicide time...and also colic calm (homeopathic). he also gets colic calm around 5am as he seems quite irritable then too.
saw a different chiro who actually manipulates the spine...so saw him yesterday and seeing him tomorrow. Matt has been reasonably good today...whether its once off, the colic calm or the chiro, who knows....
got paed appointment tomorrow too. havent been giving the cereal since friday so hope he's still gained enough!

saw midwife for 6 week check up. she says everything looks normal and feels normal so ya...back to normal! said I still feel heavy in the vagina and concerned about cervix being low...she said nothing to worry about since it all looks good...
was a bit disappointed as she didnt spend a lot of time with me. I told her not sure if Im depressed or exhausted. after some questions etc she says it sounds more like physical exhaustion than depression and i think she may be right. no crying episodes or sad thoughts when I get enough sleep...but I do think I am still very hung up over the birth which I guess time will heal.

I had registered on a website for free breastfeeding and depression support groups. (ladies I just dont know how to accept that he wont BF!!!! its like a part of me STILL wants to try!!!!)
the lady called me today. she is SOOO sweet and has referred me to different lactation people and support groups. going to a mommy group next wednesday. shame...the depression group will only contact me in like 10 days and she was quite concerned how I'd cope until then!

oh yes...Asked midwife what I can take to dry up milk if I do stop pumping...she said I must just slowly cut back on pumping and it'll eventually dry up  I can see I wont be doing that anytime soon. as much as I hate the pumping...it's like a part of my day now and I know I will just keep thinking "its only 20 minutes 4 times per day..." sigh...it'll never end...

Matt is not reaching 4 hours in the night anymore...but I am managing to get around 5 hours a night and TRY to nap in the day. not always possible. starting my birth control tonight or tomorrow. depends if I have the strength to get off the couch and go to the pharmacy tonight!

Quick one girls as I seriously need sleep... Was admitted last night after the 5th blood clot episode in 1 day and had the D&C this morning. So glad I went for it after all as my iron levels (hemoglobin) dropped in 3 days from 12.5 to 9.3 (12-16 is normal). I feel very funny (light headed, weak etc.) after the anesthetic and also due to the low iron (even though I got the iron drip), but the heavy bleeding is gone. Thanks for all the concern. I looove my Moomie family  .

Will do personals when I start feeling a bit less light headed :side: .

Rakker hon, how you doing? Have you seen your Dr and had the d&c?

Misty, lovely birth story, so glad that everything is going well with you!
Ryan is too cute!

Betty, anything yet love? When you seeing your Dr again?

Lucy, hope things are still going well with T!

Kimika I hope that he just sleeps then after his jabs! Or that you can get another appointment.

Ok, well with the medical aid, what idiots they all are. Because Kate wasn't yet on their files they assumed the Pead bill was for Em! Anyways we've corrected that and the Pead has sent through a PMB motivation letter due to Kate being born early and needing to go into NICU. The hospital then submitted my birth as natural!! So the med aid paid for natural not a c-section -so once again we need to get them to change that. Anyways, hopefully we should only need to pay in R10k for everything and not R30k!

We start baby gym tomorrow! So looking forward to it!

Replied by Kimika on topic Re: April 2011 Mommies to Be
Im so impressed to log on and have 2 birthstories to read!! You girls are spoiling me ;)

Ill read them when I have enough *undesturbed* time later (sorry if I spelt that totally wrong!)

Lucy, enjoy this special time with your mom!

Joli, sorry you guys are sick :( My boy also had pukers and then cold and I got both from him! So Im not happy either.. and trying desperately to keep R away from the bugs! This damn cold hot weather is not helping either! Maybe just phone the clinic and ask them.. as far as I know its not good to take them when they are not well. Hope you all feel better soon!

Rakker, yip maybe its some left behind placenta that your body wants to get rid of. Take the cytotec and see what happens, they are not nice :( But if it works then it might spare you the D&C.

Betty, good luck on still going :) That little girl of yours is really enjoying mommy's warmth too much.

Emsmom, oo I love doing parties too!!! I just hope I get all the stuff done.. R has his 2nd injection day on the Friday before the shower.. if he is niggly then there is no way I can get anything done :( And my mom is away on holiday then so no help for me. Im going to try move his appointment... but the clinic is so full! Keep fingers crossed ;)

So Im constantly cold and this runny nose is soo irritating!!! I had a cold when my oldest was 3months.. maybe its my body going through a dip at about 3months after baby is born? ;)
