GML, when i express i am able to get about 5o ml but i think breastfeeding was not meant to be for me. When i breastfeed, baby gives us sleepless nights with stomach cramps and a runny tummy. She seems fine on formula though. She also confuses day and night and wants to be awake at two in the morning so we havent had much sleep at all lately.

GML is the jaundice all fixed? How are u feeling after your complications?

Ladies, how do i know if my milk supply is enough without checking the weight?

I just tried expressing now and there wasnt even enough 2call it a feed. My boobs have stopped leaking and seem flatter and not as full as before.
My boy is only a week old today and am not sure how much kids his age normally take.

How much milk did your kids take with every feed?

Champers I know at about 3 weeks they go trough a growth spurt and they feed more regular it will settle again and then again at 6 weeks then 9 then 12, I see my boys are starting to feed more frequent now and consuming more milk we up the dose and they feeding 75ml now

GML my two also have there day and night mixed up you should try waking him at at the same time every morning and bath him at the same time at night during the day make sure the room is bright and lively and in the evenings it's dark and quite

Just to let you know that FancyFace is doing ok. She is in a lot of pain and strongly recommends NO ONE goes for the sterilisation process. She is in a lot of pain but says she will be back asap.

Sorry to hear you ladies are having a tough time.

Lesego was bottlefed whilst at hospital and he took whatever milk i could express. Now, he hasnt passed any stools since we left the hospital. I know it's normal for formula fed babies 2not poop but Lesego seems to have some cramps (nothing major though).

He has his night and day confused. When he's awake he's not crying, just sucking on his fingers/hands even after feeds. He also just stares at anything.

Now he's asleep and has been since abt 6ish. When he wakes he will literally hold on to my boob for dear life. I have resorted to feeding him from both boobs in 1feed, othetwise i leak.

Which do you ladies prefer? For him 2suck on his finger or for me 2give him a dummy instead?
Nothing much from my side. Where are all the other ladies?

champers @ i feel like all i do is feed wian too. A friend told me to use colix or something. It breaks up the lactose in breastmilk. I started using it yesterday and there we had a much better night last night. Wian has thrush too but the stuff the dr gave me sorted it out within a day, thank goodness.

How is everyone else and the babas doing?
