I never considered using a liner. I guess its because I have never used them. Makes sense! But they are so uncomfortable. I am lucky to not pee on myself.

Shit GML... Look what I just found online:

"Call your practitioner right away if you're not yet at 37 weeks and you notice an increase in discharge or a change in the type of discharge (if it becomes watery, mucus-like, or bloody — even if it's just tinged with pink or brownish old blood). This can be a sign of preterm labor"

They also provide us with surgical spirits but it looks ratehr small like those sample bottles. So I'm taking more just in case.

I'm also taking a pacifier with me.

I thought it (discharge) was not supposed to be watery like that.

Panty liners feel so uncomfortable at times, but I guess it's better than walking around feeling wet all the time :(

The peeing on myself is also getting worse. I think the baby is applying way too much pressure on my bladder hence peeing with every sneeze or cough

They provide the surgical spirits and cotton wool. They provide some baby products too but I guess its just in case... I am also going to take a pacifier with, in case. I'm not bothering with baby brush (don't own one).

I always have A LOT of discharge GML. Normally thick and white. But so much that my underwear needs changing. This sounds disgusting but the other day we were out and I felt it going down my leg. POOFY! :S

Hmmm

I just had a watery discharge when I wiped just now... *Trying not to think about it*

Champers- What about surgical spirits for the cord stump and cotton wool rolls?

Fancyface- glad to hear Hailey is well again. We were told not to bring bottles to hospital as the bottles are provided for in case you cannot breastfeed. But you can bring your own if you choose not to breastfeed.
Milk is normally recommended/prescribed by the paed

Ladies- what are you taking to hospital for stitches after natural birth?

Well ladies, I had to go to the hospital again because apparently there was more paperwork to complete after I did the pre-admission paperwork. Asking about allergies and past pregnancies etc.

I got given my list of what the hospital wants me to bring in:

MOTHERS
PJ's, gown, slippers
Old underwear
Bra's
Toiletries
Sanitary Pads (1 pack because they provide you with a pack)
Nipple cream
NO VALUABLES

BABIES
Baby clothes (6 sets)
Baby receiving blankets
1 Warm blanket
Baby cream, comb and brush
Baby powder and wet wipes
Diapers and Kimbies
Baby bottles (unless you are breast feeding)
Telement
Bepanthen Tepelroom

hey all,

I had such a giggle with you girls comparing bags... I must be honest with you the 3days in hospital, baby almost doesn't move coz, he/she knows that you are tired etc. 5outfits is enough no need to pack a lot.

Take a dummy for incase baby needs to learn to suck...
Nappies a must coz the once the hospital gives you are far to big and doesn't help much, real cheap stuff and leaks...
Take toiletries for baby otherwise the use the same soap on your baby than the baby before yours...and if you can't walk make sure one of the grannies or daddy coz with for baby's first bath...

Then when it comes to mommy please please please remember to take atleast 3 packs of pads....coz they sometimes in some hospitals supply you with 5per day and it's not enough....some of you might be lucky and not have any bleeding some might be like me and bleed heavy

take atleast 2bottles with and a small tin of the milk you prefer, coz they use nan and that made my sisters kids very uncomfy their tummies didn't wanna go etc. my fav milk is infacare it's light on babies intesties....(eng sux today) anyway mmm I know most wanna breastfeed but i couldn't breastfeed my daughter as my nipples was very sensitive and bleed everytime i tried....with my 2nd child i treated my breast and had a great time breastfeeding....

Hailey is back to normal, the peniciline is out of her system, and we all had a great rest last nite untill late this morning hehehe

well so far that's my tips for you all....I normally only get my back ready a week before it's time to go in... so i'll get ready around the 10th, not rushing and if anything should happen b4 the time....granny can bring it in for me...

Good morning

After extensive googling last night, weighing up the risks and a heated debate with my mom and husband I think that I am going to have an induction on the 29th.

When I got to work this morning my desk was full of pressies from some of the ladies at work, it was just what I needed! I am very excited... To think... a month from today I am going to be holding little Wian!

Blessed with a beautiful daughter and an awesome baby boy!
