Ok ladies, I just called my hospital and they are going to email me a list of everything I should bring with how many....

I'll post it here when I get it.

On the phone, the sister told me to bring Nappies (not enough in the hospital pack), 6 baby grows (full body ones), Vests, Socks and
Beanies. 1 warm blanket and about 3 receiving blankets. I asked her about the burping cloth and she said not necessary.

Well I have not packed my bags yet, still need to wash the clothes before doing so..I am however taking about 3 to 4 growers, baby's get bathed once a day only, will take an extra one if need more will just get my hubby to bring along more which would more than likely not be the case...Our hospital also do not provide hospital clothes for baby, I remember with my son they did but that was many years ago..Googlebug which hospital you delivering at?

This morning I got the mommy and baby pack from the pharmacy at the hospital and was very disappointed to see that they no longer include a pack of new born nappies which they did before, the lady tells me she thinks I will get it in my gift bag but is not sure so I should just buy and bring along just in case.. ...

I mostly take new born to hospital as they fit alot better than 0-3 months especially the first few days.. Socks to wear under their growers as well as spencers, remember their little body's till need to adapt to the temperature.. Clean receiving blanket for everyday as welll.....Then obviously your nice outfit for baby when going home...

Yes ladies just a matter of weeks before we meet our baby's ....

Nope, hubby will stay for the birth but I think its important that he goes home and gets proper sleep and has a nice bath. He will have plenty of time to have uncomfortable restless nights. He must get the last of his good sleep in!

Are any of your partners feeling anxious about leaving you in Hospital after the baby is gone? My hubby insists that he will not leave until such time we are discharged. He says he will tell them that when he goes home he goes home to his wife and seeing that his wife is in hospital he is not leaving

How many burping cloths are you taking to hospital? I'm worried I'm going to take a huge bag with me

I'm so scared of cot death I've decided that baby is spending the first 6 months in our room with us.

i think the hospital gives us products to use but yes, baby is with me the entire time as well.

I've emailed my midwife to ask what she recommends... Will let you know if I get a response.

Same here champers. We were told to bring in all our stuff.

Besides, I'm not comfy with baby wearing the same thing as other babies (don't want any confusion)

2 grows a day seems ok. I'm taking in 3 beanies. Ladies, what about baby socks or booties? Are they necessary when you use babygrows?

I bought a packet of new born (size 1) nappies and will keep others in the car for incase.

Our babies room in with us from the 1st day unless you're having a c-section. So basically the baby is your responsibility and you can bring in anything you think you will need.
