Just to let you know I have had a couple of good changing days!!!! When my little one is on the changing mat I give him TWO dummies and he lies there popping one dummy in then swopping it to the next one... Just enough time for me to get his nappy on!!!!! Wonder how long it will last though! :)

Charlotte - so true! Hope you dont mind I've used your quote to update my FB status today - it is EXACTLY how I am feeling!

My LG is 13 months and there is no secret to getting dressed! Getting undressed is easy...

I never understood why Mommies "wasted" wetwipes by letting the LO play with them... now I understand!

I also said, ah, I wont use the change room, you dont know how clean it is, I'll manage in the car/pram/on the go... yeh right!

Oh, and now that LO wants to help get dressed, she also wants to help CHANGE THE DIRTY NAPPY! It actually landed on the floor this morning - thank goodness facing up (Sorry, TMI...)

I think making peace with it all is defnitely the way to go....!

;)

I also prefer Dylan to sit and eat or drink so for all meals we sit together at the dining room table. Sometimes we eat breakfast in the lounge but he still has to sit on his small chair and eat nicely, but once he is done he can leave for now.

Dylan is good with changing. He loves shoes so I just say shoes or what he calls shooshoos and I make his get dressed first.

I try to make a game out of everything though.

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.

All I want to say...is that im glad im not alone!!!!!

Before bathtime I pray for peace and to keep my mouth shut and not utter a swear word! I try to sing and make eye contact...sometimes it workes sometimes not.

All we can do is just pray for peace and calm! lol....cause we sure as hell need it!

Feb09 - it is never to late. you will have a bigger struggle and if she doesn't want to eat then she doesn't but. sit at a table with her.

Joli - i also believe that kids will eat if they are hungry. no one in my moms house eats @ table, so Amandalynn and i use to sit at the table by ourselves and eat supper. i think it is important to me because then it gives us time to talk and bond. TV is also not on when we eat. Family time

Febr09 - I do nothing. Running after them is changing it into a game. If you mean nappy change, then just take your LO and change the nappy. I have never ran after my kids to feed them. They either eat or don't. And I've never had a chair to put them in either. I'm one of those moms who believe that they will eat when / if they are hungry.
