LOL @ do you want a smack !!

I find myself saying "Do you WANT me to hurt you" or I am so gonna hurt you if you don't stop....."

And yes, I so often hear my parents coming thru, it is scary. Then again, they were wonderful parents, so maybe there is something in sounding like them

I just giggle when parents ask thier children "do you want a smack?". Have you ever met a child wanting a smack??

We live in Krugersdorp
Zhanelle was born on 20 Jan 2009
Having a child is much harder than I thought it would be!!

Tess_S that is very funny..

And at that moment I had flashes of my mother..
poor baby will probably also grow up vowing never to use those lines..
and then suddenly when they run out of ideas..they hear you coming out of their mouths..LOL...

LMAO!! Tess - at the becoming undersized and beaten up. Oh, the things we resort to saying to get daily tasks like eating done *giggles*

My mom also use to say that to me - "don't come crying to me if...xxxx"

I must admit I always try to use my own approach but desperate times call for desperate measures and then I revert back to being a clone of my mom it seems lol

On the topic of becoming your mother - I notice myself saying a lot of "when/if …… then don't come crying to me". Esp at the moment, "if you don't eat and you grow up undersized and get beat up at school, don't come crying to me!"
or, "if you don't have a nice nap and your brain doesn't develop, don't come crying to me when you can do your maths homework!"

I remember my mom once saying to me "if you fall and break your leg, don't come crying to me" ;)

Julz - I also said a few times "must I give you something to cry about" when he was crying for nothing and I also seriously cringed because that is exactly what my mom use to say to me LOL.

Guys... my son is driving me insane today! Instead of his usual "I will do it"... everything today is "mommy must do it". He won't do a thing... arrrrggg...
And if he tries to correct my pronunciation (incorrectly so of course lol) one more time I'm going to flip LOL. I'm starting to think that I must correct him the whole day long and he is starting to become a mini-me so I have brought this upon myself ha.
