lol

Brownie they say toddlers get very frustrated as they know what they want, but not how to ask you for it so patience is key. Dylan points to things and just grunts but he is quite good at pointing to exactly what he wants which is usually what he can't have so it's still tears all round. Man I am loving this age.

 Brownie. Shame let us know what INNA is OK as soon as you've figured it out!

When I was little I used to call a teaspoon a HIEKIE! Nobody knew where I got that from, but anyways one day I was admitted to hospital and I wouldn't eat for the whole day as I wanted a HIEKIE! So only when my parents came that eve, the nurses were told that a HIEKIE is a TEASPOON!

I know Joli, he's just trying to worm himself out of bed hoping to bump into his father who will gladly allow him to watch TV for an extra hour. What he doesn't know is that I have dealt with his father and he now knows not to mess with this routine otherwise he'll face an 'inna' from me.

I don't think inna is eina, cos then he wouldn't be pointing at goodness knows what somewhere in the house. Next time he points to inna I'll ask his to take me to it. But this scares me. Last time I did that he took me to one of the wardrobes and pointed at the inna and I touched everything in there hoping he'll say that's it but nope, I touched until I ran out of patience. Maybe he's uses it to label anything that he doesn't know the name of. But why moan everytime he there's an inna in the room? *sigh* But the only way to figure it out is to gather all my patience and search for the inna. Mother's life.......

LO has a tendency of saying 'inna'. I don't know what it means. He would start moaning and when I ask him what's wrong he'd say 'inna'. His speech is fine and knows labels and like I said can talk just fine and ask for things by name by there's this 'inna'. Its gets on my nerves! And whenever he says it I blood starts to boil cos I know he will moan and 'inna' until I just about whack him. He will point at the 'inna' and its always somewhere in the middle of the room or his foot or his arm. At some point I figured he says 'inna' when he's itchy and needs to be scratched (why he doesn't wanna scratch his own bum I don't know) but now he points at the bloomin inna. And he would follow me around crying about the damn thing till I scream at him to go away or sleep and then he looks so hurt that I'm failing to understand him and yet I can nothing about the stupid f***ing inna! Why can't he understand that I don't undertand what that is? And then there's the trips to the loo. We go to the loo before jumping into bed, and 5minutes later he asks for the loo and we go again and 5 mins later he asks again and yet again we go to the loo and he will keep asking for the loo until I threaten him with the shoe! And then he'll ask for the 'inna'.

I found myself saying if you are going to cry I will give you something to cry about. Cringe. I sound just like my mom.
