Hi,

Oh shame, poor little thing. I would take her back to dr if you feel it isn't getting any better.

It could also be hand , foot and mouth disease ( our lg had it) its a virus so not much to do, just treat symptoms. Give neurofen for the pain and swelling. I had a gel to put in mouth , can't remember the name.

I hope she starts to get better soon.

I have 2 little girls and we living in Hong Kong.

Hi there

Last week Wednesday I took Migs to the ENT because of fever and green snotty nose (we were scared it was an ear infection again). Diagnosis: Tonsillitis. Meds: Antibiotics and Daktarin for the cold sore in the corner of her mouth. (Ears all dry and fine..hooray!)

By Thursday afternoon her whole tongue was covered in white spots and the fever still spiking. She stopped eating.

By Friday afternoon her whole mouth was covered in spots and fever still spiking. She screamed for an hour a few times during the day, and night time was one big nightmare. Phoned the ENT and told him about the sores in her mouth, he told me to continue with the Daktarin.

By Sunday morning the fever FINALLY broke, her mouth looked TERRIBLE and she still wasn't eating (only drinking milk and water). I figure out that the antibiotics was giving her stomach cramps so stopped using it (since I also realized she might not have tonsillitis, only a virus!!!!!!!!). The pharmacsit suggested a different gel for her mouth seen as Daktarin is only for thrush/fungal infections (WTF???!!!!!)

This morning her mouth is still looking horrible, still not eating, her breath is very bad. Her fever is down. Should I take her to the doc today (obviously a different one) or will her mouth get better on it's own? SO far there's no improvement..it's getting worse.

Am I paranoid or am I right when I'm thinking I should take her to a doc? Should I just continue with the new gel for her mouth?
