TTC at Groote Schuur - first time

Hi all

I am new to the forum, i am 37 years and hubby 38 years we married almost 6 years i had 2 laporoscopies and one cycle of ivf this year at Groote schuur but cycle was cancell due to my ovaries did not respond well to the meds so the doctor suggest not to have another cycle but to try donner eggs.

As me and hubby was so dum strucked at the hosp we did not ask any questions and i cant get me so far to phone the hosp have any of you guys did do ivf with donner eggs at groote schuur i am interested i procuder en cost involve.

Hi JayCee, no I did not phone yesterday. The doc phoned me. Good news 3 of the 6 is fertilized. We are now hoping the other 3 also get fertilized. If not then they will do the transfer tomorrow. If the other late sleepers get fertilized then they will do the transfer Monday. Fxfxfxfxfx

I found that Menopur works great with me, hoping that it will works for you to. Good luck with your scan on Monday, fxfxfxfx for you. Lots of baby dust for you

FM:starting with 75iu menopur today and Saturday only then scan Monday, doing iui just hoping on Monday follies had grown on the side where my tube is not blocked

Everything is going good. I was on menopur, cetrotide. I was Monday for a scan and blood tests. The doc said I had 7 follicles in total. He also said we needed to trigger Monday evening. We were yesterday (Wednesday) there for the egg retrieval. He got 6 in total. I am now waiting to hear what’s going on. How many survived and how many got fertilized. Fxfxfxfxfxfxfxf

Good luck with injections. Are you guys going for ivf of iui this time? What injections are you using?

Hi Hope,was struggling to find your msg on the forum, lol but figured it out,how are you and how was the meds so far, what meds are you taking,any scans yet?

FM:had my longest cycle ever 31days,on CD6,taking my last pill tomorrow and starting with injectables tomorrow also,scan is on Monday so will see
