Hi Hope
I am also new here.
How are you this week?
I have heard of many success stories from GSH - Groote Schuur Hospital.
We are actually going to GSH for IUI this month.
I start this week with my meds.
I know it's hard, but hang in there, everything will work out.
There is such a great team at GSH, hubby and I both felt comfortable and at peace after our first appointment there.
There was no long queue, we did not feel like a number. Our first appointment was 2hours with the doctor and we feel so blessed to have been able to get in there.
Friends of ours fell pregnant with twins after their first IVF attempt at GSH.
So you are in good hands going there.

Hi all,

I am new to this site and new to talk to other people who have the same problem than us. I am 31 this year and have been married for 4.6 years. Ha ha and have been to more doctors than we have been married if you think about it.

We have been on so many meds like clomid ect, been for 2 x laparoscopy/hysteroscopy and tried twice for IUI but both times the doctor told us that he is not happy with the one big follicle and that we need to try again in a month or two.

In November last year I had pretty much enough, I was tired and emotional, I felt like a number and not a person with a problem anymore. I felt also that the doctor just want to make money out of us and not really want to help us. At that point we were emotionally and financially drained.

I start reading the post on here and decide not to give up. Well here we are, got an appointment at Groote Schuur in May2014. I am terrified, I know I need to have faith and hopefully we can try with an IVF. But with so many “no’s” in the past it is hard to have faith.

Is there anyone who has been at Groote Schuur for an IVF? Any feedback? :(

Hubby: 33
