Wow wee! What can I say.... I see my last post/log in was 7 January 2013!!! So
Much has happened my side...

But let's not concentrate on that but I would like to welcome all the new ladies!! I feel pretty new all over again....

And I can say I'm actively trying for a baby too....

Need to fix up my tickets too, I see Chloe's ticker is out dated...

How are you all doing? I had one of those very lazy weekends! On Saturday, I had a makeup workshop with Kryolan - Really enjoyed it! Then we had a braai with friends. Sunday was sleep in and movie day for us. I actually feel rested and rejuvenated for the week ahead. Odd for this stage of my cycle.

@Babydreaming - I am on CD 23 today. I tested on Friday, which was way too early, and got a BFN. My curiosity got the better of me. Not gonna test again till Saturday. Period due on Friday, so I'll have to wait and see. Apart from moodiness, hunger and sensitive boobies, I have no funny symptoms. Except for the strange pulling sensation in tummy. Feels like twisting/turning/pulling of uteris downwards. Not painful, just very funny feeling. My skin looks beautiful, and no headaches yet. So waiting for these symptoms to know that AF is on its way. Good luck for the BD'ing season, @Babydreaming. And relax about visit to Gynae - They are very good at what they do and with modern medicine so evolved, they will be able to treat anything that might be wrong. There is always hope.

@P4M1 - And any news on that test yet? Thank you for the link, I just want to warn the ladies against EPO, it works for some but not for all, believe me I am one of them. I will never take EPO again.

I'm on CD11 today, O must be somewhere around the corner. Just cant wait to see the Gynae on Wednesday although I am a bit worried, you know, what is she going to say and how big is my problem, probably just working myself up for nothing.

Wow, what a week! Firstly, @Lillyr, congratulations on your wonderful news. BFP and promotion in the same week! Its just such a blessing. May you have a healthy and blessed pregnancy. Enjoy!

@Morgan, was so sad to read your news. I totally understand the emotions that you're going through. All the time and energy (and dare I mention money) invested into each cycle and then the disappointment that it didn't work. Its just so heartbreaking. But I also agree with AnzelMama - God has a plan for you, even if its not the plan that you want to have at this moment. Its going to be so much better than you can imagine and some day you'll look back on this time in you life and realise that things worked out perfectly. Perhaps a break of a couple of months is just what you need at this moment. I've had a 2.5 month break now for obvious reasons and really feel good about TTC again. Stay strong - I know you can get through this!

@Ninies, welcome to the group! As you can see there's just so much going on here at the moment and I'm sure you'll fit right in. We're in slightly similar situations - I'm 33 and hubby 36 and our boy is also 3 years old. Also been TTC for close to 2 years now, however I've lost count of the number of times I've been on Fertomid. Your operation sounds quite intense though. My laparoscopy was much less drastic and it still took me a while to recover. I'm also on CD3 now, however I take Fertomid from CD 3 - 7. It seems my FS prescribes it like that to all his patients, however I've heard of people starting anything from CD2 - CD5. At my previous gynae I only started on CD5 though.

@Babydreaming88, sorry to hear about AF arriving, but hopefully you'll have some good news this coming week.

@AnzelMama12, glad you're feeling a little better now. Its always more difficult to take the news of a pregnancy being announced for someone close to you. Still hoping that you'll have some good news in a week's time.

@Praying4miracle1, I almost don't want to ask if AF showed her ugly face. Still hoping that it it doesn't happen. But if it is the case, even a 1 month break will do you some good.

@DieSwartKat, good to hear from you! I hope you feel better soon so that you can enjoy the next couple of months of pregnancy. You're going to have so much fun with a little boy in the house.

@Jay-Bee01, welcome to the Fertomid club. On 50mg I don't think you'll have issues with side effects. Its quite a low dose afaik. I was on 50mg for my first 4 cycles (3 of which while still with my previous gynae), but it only really worked once, so FS upped the dosage to 100mg for me, which seems to work well wrt having good mature follicles visible on the scan.

AFM, on CD3 now. AF showed up 1 day early (and cramping started even earlier) so it just shows you that absolutely nothing is predictable. Just as I posted about the 2nd phase of your cycle always being the same length, mine decides to be 1 day shorter. So from now on I'm just going to take it as it comes and not try to figure out when what happens. Our bodies do not always stick to the schedule.

Hubby and I had chat and decided to do IUI this time. I went back to count now - it will be my 10th round of Fertomid, but first time for IUI. Feeling quite excited now. First scan for follicles will be mid next week, however given previous cycles I'm not expecting to see much on CD8 as I'm normally slow to react on the meds. If all goes according to plan, the IUI will be done some time around easter weekend (fortunately my FS is available).

Enjoy the break and figure things out, I know nothing makes sense right now but remember miracles do happen and they sometimes happen at the most unexpected time. God knows what you truly want in your heart and what you pray for each day and night

@ ninies - I had to take fertomid CD 5 - 9 and the femara was prescribed for the same days. Don't know why it's different for some.

@P4M1 - Ek stem saam. is soms baie k@k. Yeah, think hubby and I made the right decision to take a break. It might drive me nuts in the beginning but we have to do it.

Ladies, lots of love, good luck, babydust, joy and hope. Going to be a little absent for a while. Just need to get away from it all. Please know that I appreciate each and every one of you and that I sincerely hope that all will be BFP when the time comes round for you.
