How are you all today?

@Nix - My cycle was two days messed around a bit when I started my prenatals so it could be that. FX that we get BFP's this month, will be cycle buddies again. Ovia says 8 days to fertile window for me. How long have you been on the TTC journey now?

@MrsSmith - How are things with you?

@Nikita - How did the OPK look today? I will start using mine this month.

@MTC - How are things going that side? Are you holding up okay? Any signs of AF yet and have you thought of POAS yet? Keep positive about your job and everything around you, have you considered chatting to management yet about whether or not they are extending your contract so that you can plan your life.

@P4M - How are you? what CD are you on and what is happening with this cycle? Any tests? Feeling a little lost

@CarienM - I had the same thing last cycle and was worried it would affect our TTC plans, I agree with Mrs Smith, also dress warmly and maybe take a little extra Vitamin C but not too much.

Nix, it could just be a totally random occurrence, it could also be the preg vits. Or it could be anything else. I'm really sorry AF arrived, I really had high hopes this was your month. If you'd like the reassurance that everything is ok then I'd say go see a gynae - talk it through, have a scan, etc. If you're not in a major hurry then I don't think it would hurt at all to wait another month or three. It's entirely up to you. Mostly, with just one wonky cycle, the gynaes won't really do anything anyway. But you could request a scan just to visibly check all is ok for peace of mind.

Carien - sorry you're so ill. Not nice at all. I honestly cannot recommend freshly squeezed lemon juice in hot water with a spoonful of honey enough. It really works wonders. I don't think illness of that nature would interfere with ov at all. If you can manage nose spray then sterimar (just sea water) is fantastic as well. If it's a normal standard head cold, or even bordering on flu then hot lemon water with honey and sterimar nose spray would do wonders to help clear it. Hope you feel better soon xx

@Nix - DEFINATELY go see a gynea!! If something is wrong then you can catch it now and have something done about it. What area are you in? And what medical aid are you on?

AFM - I am a cest pool of germs today, feel horrible and I really just cant be sick right now.

Question - since I am sick right now i am really trying to not take anything too strong, have only taken some panado and those panado medi-sip things just in case it may have some sort of interaction with my system. Do you guys think b/c I am sick I will not ovulate this cycle? Really hoping that is not the case, would appreciate your opinions on this.

AF came this morning even dreamt about it because I was cramping in my sleep! This cycle was 37 days instead of 32/33. Only thing that I did was start on pregnavit MR then stared pregomega plus 5 days ago so maybe it was the vitamins?

I am on Lexamil 20mg per day for my anxiety disorder but that is not new, have been on that for years now.

I am thinking I should see a Gynecologist just to see if everything is normal. I went to one about 6/7 years ago for my first PAP smear and I remember that all was fine then. She scanned ovaries and I was ovulating then. She did say that i am sensitive to testosterone because I get darker hair growth in some areas.Since then I have used my GP for the routine e stuff.

What do you think I should do? Just try another cycle before seeing a gynie or rather try go asap?

Oh honey, so sorry to hear your sad news, I've been in your shoes many times before. I know exactly how you feel. The first week is always the hardest. And then comes all the stages of grieve. Its just horrible

Ninies, I hear what you saying.. That would just be weird! All I can do now is wait... I need AF to arrive!! I would just cry if I was pregnant this month... And we did a lot of BD'ing around ovulation so who knows...

ninies - the gap cover pays the shortfall of the doctors. So whilst hospital plans cover all the hospital costs, the shortfall of the anaethetist and gynae etc is what the gap cover then covers.
we got ours a few years ago as well and it's come in handy over the years. Just recently changed providers - haven't yet had to use the new one but hoping it all works out. I know other people on it and they all claim good experiences.
