Trying for a 2016 baby

@Jooste - We will go the natural route for the first little while, I also have my app with the FS on 28 Jan and he will prob want to do bloods,etc so prob best to not mess with my cycle yet. Im due for AF to arrive on Sat/Sun but not sure how many days the lap would have delayed it by. It shouldn't be much as it was done during AF last cycle. Secretly inside I am hoping we can still do this naturally....

Have you got any AF symptoms yet like sore bbs or anything? I hope it doesnt keep you waiting too long hun. I remember how long @Nikita waited for hers to come around again.

Where are you in your cycle now? Are you going to first take the pills and stop yourself from OV'ing , or are you going to try naturally for a couple of months? I'm trying to remember, but I can't remember what you have decided.

Currently on CD27 (after the D & E). Obviously I did not OV on CD14 - CD16 (as I usually do). I suspect that I only OV'ed around CD20 - CD22. This is going to be a long cycle waiting to find out when AF will arrive. In the meantime we are actively TTC, but since I'm not sure what exactly is going on, I cannot really know for sure if we are timing it all correctly. OPK's apparently also not that reliable after miscarraige. I had several positive ones, before I went for my first f/up after the D & E. And - I definately did not OV as my f/up appointment showed follicles busy growing to OV. So...it is pretty mixed up at the moment.

@Aladwi - I have actually read that happening to ladies with a BFP so I'm really hoping this could be it for you You can add smiley faces at the top of your reply box! We have quite a few people that know now about our ttc as I just got tired of hiding the fact that we are ttc for a while now. The worst is when people ask when babies are on the cards and instead of telling them you rather say "Maybe next year" and then they reply, well what's the rush anyway!! That seems to hurt the most as it almost seems like kids aren't so important to them when in fact I am so desperately trying to have one. When someone hears we have been trying for a while and having a few problems they also love saying " It's okay, don't stress it will happen". For some reason that statement infuriates me and I want to scream at them that I'm tired of hearing that as clearly everyone is wrong because there IS something wrong with me.

We all need to vent at some point, so you are welcome to at any time!

I'm a bit of a 'private' person, and have not told anyone else (close to me) that we're ttc. I think it's mostly because people have been hounding me for baby for years now. I don't like pushy people (okay, how do I put the frowny face? )

Erm... down thêârrr, it's changed too. When we... erm, errr.... you know (how do I add the blushing face? ?)... well, I'm really tight, almost like someone re-routed my map. Darker in colour and swollen.

I'm convinced that this may be it, and decided to be excited anyways - so to not miss out on the experience. In case it's just a case of (s)low hormone levels. It feels lonely though because the husband is not convinced. Not until a test confirms. (How to add a super-sad face??). I feel that we could be missing out on the most important first weeks that could have been spent together...

Which is why I am thankful for this platform. A place where I can share with girls who may understand my emotions better than anyone else. Without judgement.

The last thing I'd want to hear when it's confirmed would be something in the line of "it's about time, or finally". People mean well, but even though they love you, they may not always realise how cruel they can be.

After telling our parents, you girls will be the next to know before siblings.

I sound sad, I know. I'm actually very strong. I won't vent like this again. Thank you.

We actually had a quick little chat to our pastor last week and he is supporting us all the way, so wonderful knowing that we have the power of prayer behind us!

Eish, you girls are so advanced with the APP, replying to multiple sisters, and also all the TTC talk.

I am too fresh, so all I can says for now is that my best wishes are with all of you who are busy with treatments and getting close. I don't always understand the lingo, but know that I am cheering and finding hope in each message!

I haven't taken any treatments, and don't know much about the status talk, hence my Faith in God being my signature.

My body's been acting weird though. Missed flow (due 25 Nov) and started brown-ish (wipe only) spotting 2 days later. Stayed like that for the weekend, and on the Monday, heavy, then stopped on the Tuesday, 1 Dec. Since, I had headaches (only for about 2 days, then stopped) feeling cramps, having pain in lower back, growing boobies with sensitive nips, feeling uncomfortable to the point where I have to change position often, not much difference in weight, but expanding in cm though. Several pregnancy tests have shown negative though. So I'm not sure whether this is my hormone levels that's too low, or a 'pseudo' case because I'm wanting a baby so much. I would like to think that my body would know better than to fool me like that! We're not on medical aid, so I decided to wait until next Friday(next flow date) only before making a doc's appointment.

Im trying to get the opinion of a few ladies doing IVF, The IVF in KZN is almost double the price of JHB and I have been thinking of staying with my sister in JHB during my cycle. How many weeks do you need to be close to your clinic for scans,etc and do you think its a viable option? Hubby probably won't be able to stay with me all of the time and so I will mostly be with my sister and aunt with whom I'm very close to.
