Hi everyone!
Chanti: Wonderful progesterone level!!!!! My levels were always in the range of 32 - 40 during unmedicated cycles. Unfortuantely, I never fell pg then. And when I started with fertility drugs it went up to around 70 - 360. And, during those times we did IUI and also did not fall pg. But, with such a high progesterone level, it means that you most definately did OV and that it could be more than one eggie and that if you do fall pg, your body will sustain the pg and your uterine lining with ease!! So wonderful!
Crossing my fingers for BPF's this month!!
My opinion of IVF:
DH and I also were not keen on doing it. My main reason was that it would mean I have "given up" on my body and I desperately wanted to fall pg without treatment. The sad reality to my opinion way back then, was that we wasted precious time and as I'm also older my eggs age quicker, I do not stimm that great as the time goes on and al the more issues would prevent IVF to be successful. I'm a Christian and we had long and hard discussions with many religious people about IVF. IVF is definately not "playing God" and creating a human yourself. If that was the case there would have been a 100% success rate with every single IVF every tried. You can harvest as many eggs your want and place them with as many healthy sperm possible / or even do ICSI and inject the sperm inside the egg. But, that is where the human interference stops. No one, except for God, can make the DNA of both cells merge and make them multiply and divide in perfect sync. And more so, even then, no docter can "implant" an embie into a woman's uterus. Embies are "placed" inside the uterine cavity and need to find a spot themselves and bury themselves into the lining. All of that is in God's hands. We prayed long and hard and we knew that If God did not want for us to fall pg via the means of IVF, it would not happen. The fact that we then fell pg naturally just 9 months after Lee was born, proved to us that Lee was suppose to be conceived via IVF. Whether it was to teach us that we need to slow down and prioritise our budgets to let it happen (we use to travel a lot and selfishly spend all our time and money on ourselves), or whether it was to make us move towards praying more and staying on our knees more - I'm still not sure. Either way, I look at her today and if we did not spend that money and travel so much (we needed to travel 320km back and forth to the FS each month), she would have not been here. It was the way that she was suppose to join our lives.
It takes everyone some time to decide whether IVF is an option or not and we felt God's hand in our decision all the way through.
AFM:
My progesterone level was 16.1. So, I barely OV or not at all. (16 - 60 range at Pathcare). So, my FS suggested I completely wean our little guy (I'm still BF him once a day) and then he will let me go on Femara again during the next few cycles to stimm better.
