(They are by far not sensitive enough and several of the woman on other forums I have been on also sometimes got false positives with those)

@ Sammy thank you for the encouragement. Ja, we've been on this TTC journey for 3 years now so a few more days won't hurt i know! I've been reading Dr Google and i'm feeling better knowing that this was just to early. I'm just going to leave the testing and test again on Saturday. AF should be arriving Sat or Sun.

@ jooste just used and ordinary Dischem brand. I did buy a Clear Blue and i'm keeping it until Saturday.

I've been worried about something similar. After bub1 who is not about to go on 4yrs I had a copper T put in. TMI but my cervix sits really high. Dr made 3 attempts before getting the T in. After 11 months I had it removed as I was suffering horrid cervical pain, terrible periods and infections. Turns out one side of the T slipped down and was holding my cervix open. It had shifted about 3 months before I finally took it out. This was all about 2.5yrs ago as I had tried BC first but it put me out of whack.
So now, TTC and damn sure I just had a Chemical..... I am terrified that the issue with the T damaged my cervix but just cant afford a gyn visit. HOW DID YOU KNOW FOR SURE IT WAS CHEMICAL. Hoping your symptoms can help me pinpoint if it was in fact a chemical.
Im a strict 28 day cycle but this last one was 3 days late, a day of heavy bleeding followed by an unusual 6 or so days of pinky spot type CM. All accompanied by hectic preggie symptoms but all HPTs BFN's. My question if anyone knows....how can I rule out cervical damage without Dr visit. Again, TMI, but could I somehow check myself?

@jooste fx for the BFP too scared to test yet though...as for my brother that is one messed up story, he stopped working when my sis in law was pregnant with there 2nd child, started working just after she gave birth...then she discovered he was in debt of over 200grand...we sold my late moms flat so that he could square up his debt but she couldnt take his crap so she left him, he moved to dbn with his friends and they sent him packing now hes here, my fathers family cant understand how i am frustrated and they are making me out to be the bad guy but sing his praises like he is perfect, the thing is we have never had a close relationship ever and my hubby hates my brother because of the life i had before we got married, DH actually married me to get me out of my misery that i was living

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too early!!!!! I am no expert but based on everything I have gone through in the past 24 hours, and speaking to my FS and his nurse, NO person should even test before a MINIMUM of 12 days but preferably only at the 14 day mark.

Trust me I understand how anxious you are, but testing too soon honestly just ends in heart break!
Think of it this way. Any HCG reading higher than 5 is already considered a positive. Now 90% of pregnancy test only start measuring your HCG from around 25 / 50.

Now first you need to go through implantation which happens around 6-12 days after ovulation (Yes it CAN be as late as TWELVE days!). Once implantation has taken place, it takes 2-3 days for the HCG to reach your blood stream and a further 2-3 days to reach your urine... And even THEN, if HCG is present in your urine, at the point when you test it might be sitting just below the 25/50 mark... so now you end up all heart broken, where in fact you are actually pregnant, but your body is just taking its time building a strong foundation and ensuring that your happy little fertilised egg has a nice comfy home to spend the next 9 months......


WISH I could heed my own advice.... but just TRY be a little more patient! You've waited how many years to get to this point? What is another few days??

On the family front - is there any way that your brother can "veg" somewhere else - like at a friend's house? Why is he not working?

I understand....my last HcG was 7....and I did not want for it to double - I would have worried about that pregnancy if it did. The writing was on the wall for me ....
