Trying for a 2017 Baby

Sammy, after doing test for 6 months we were told that DH had low sperm count and we had a 5% chance of conceiving naturally.

I did ask for IUI but because the count was so low they said that after washing the sperm there wouldn't be enough. So our only option was ICSI/IVF.

DH count drastically went up the last few months that even the FS is very surprised. So should the cycle not work out for us we'll be trying on our own for a few months before using the frozen embryos.

Liza, that's so cool. I don't think I ever stopped to realise that we all probably pretty close to one another I live on the East Rand, but I travel to Netcare PTA East Hospital to see my FS!

I know last year my second Beta was done on a Saturday and (my sister is a physio - so she explained how this works to me) that all blood results are sent to the Dr via Radiotel? So if you have your dr's number, or the Radiotel number (my FS has it on his voice mail msg) then you can get your results like that over the weekend

Just out of curiosity, did you ever try the IUI route? Sorry if you have explained this before, but no matter how hard I try to find the time to read through the past 98 pages of history here, I never seem to really get anywhere, so I am still trying to figure everyone out with their respective journeys

@ Sammy I'm in Centurion. On my way to work this morning i saw so much damage caused by last nights hail storm it was actually scary! We'll be prayed for rain!!

I'm actually scheduled to do Beta on Saturday but i'm so not waiting until Monday for the results. So i'd wait it out.

Something very strange which i noticed this morning. I used the Cyclogest Suppositories 2 x daily and this morning when inserting it , it just felt so tight in there. (TMI) Don't know if it was my imagination but i'm sure that it was different I'll check again tonight.

@Liza... Your attitude is EXACTLY the same one I have this time around.... God has his plan for me... I may not understand it, or agree with it, but he will bless me when he feels it's the right time... But to be honest this time I have this "FEELING"... I can't explain it, but in my heart of hearts, I BELIEVE I am going to have my 9 months of pregnancy and give birth to my rainbow! So just try relax and believe in Him and his plan for you.... NO amount of stressing out or no matter how many HPT's you decide to try, isn't going to alter what the end result was already preplanned to be
Regarding this weather! Weird question I know, but where about in GP are you?

AFM, I'm on CD4. My period seems to have lightened up and is coming to an end. My FS is very happy with how things looked and felt yesterday as mentioned he decided that we are going to try a more aggressive route regarding growing and stimming my follicles! One mind side, I am visualising them growing beautifully, taking care of myself and BELIEVING!!!

Morning Ladies!

Sjoe the rains has been hectic in GP the last couple of days. But we are so blessed!

So we decided last night that we will not be testing over the weekend. I'm going to wait it out until Monday. If AF arrives over the weekend then we have our answer. I'm just done with stressing over something that is not in my hands! God has a plan and we need to wait for Him to put that plan in action.

Hi all

Sorry for the "hit and run" question, but I have now been put on Femara from today (CD3) until CD7 and also Fostimon also from today until CD11. My question is, should I take my Femara pill in the morning and do the Fostimon injection at night, or do them together?

Any idea's?

**Edited - I phoned the nurse at my FS and she confirmed, Femara in the morning, Fostimon at night 12 hours later. Stick to those times. So everyday Femara at 6am and Fostimon at 6pm!

@ Ayesha FX that this is your month. I tend to agree that if you are ready to see a FS. I waited so long before going and it took another 6 months getting to the root of our problem. In total our TTC journey is nearing the 3 year mark already. Sometimes i wish that i just went to see the FS earlier!

@ Anzel so good to hear from you!! Glad that things are going good and that you are still on the TTC train. I agree its about time for the BFP's to start again on our thread!

@ Jooste so then i'll test on Saturday morning. Eish i'm so scared!!!
