heart TTC 2012 Group Year of the ball, Year of the bump

16 years 4 months ago #43169 by Marinda_C
Hi Hayley,

It has been a long time, I decided to stay off for a while cause it just put more pressure on me to get a BFP, thinking about it everyday and being on the Forum. Esp after the bumper April BFP's.

I have been more relaxed and sometimes have to check where I am in my cycle. Also don't concentrate too much on how I'm feeling, symptoms ect.

And how have you been? Any luck yet?

Cute photo Hayley!

Tracy - that is part of the big problem. If he really is bipolar and refuses meds to balance the chemical imbalance, things will never work out. And thinking that "this month will be the month" is very naive. Some people are just born spungers (although they are friends or relatives) and are quite happy to go through live oblivous to other people's feelings and situations and sacrifices.

It doesn't sound harsh, I think it is the best thing you can do for all of you if you give him the boot. 30 years is way old enough to fend for himself. We all only live once and we are all responsible for our own life and how we live it and handle situations. 8 months are 8 months you won't get back with your hubby and son as your own little family. It is just too short to waste on being miserable and taking strain financially etc. (One of my school friends died last week in an accident). Sometimes one has to be selfish, because we are all awesome, unique and have an equal right to be on this planet and make the most of it.

Glad you are taking the "advice" or rather my opinion with an open mind.

Go buy a bottle of bubbly lunch time for tonight and maybe a slab chocolate or magnum ice cream for you to indulge in right then. :silly:

I agree with ILLSE.. give him notice or sit down with him and explain how all this has been taking a huge toll on ur marriage/home/and family... and u just cant cope with anymore and he needs to make an effort to sort out his life.. i must say that in all this looks like u have a very understanding hubby who is not pressurising u for anything and its only fair that u give him due for that by asking ur bro to make an effort and sort out his life..
Sorry my point of view..

Girls I just wanted to share... Have any of you watched Hachiko: A Dog's Story? I watched it last night and I cried my eyes out!! It is such a good movie but so so sad!! DH stopped watching about 15 minutes before the end, but I just couldn't turn it off.

I would definately recommend it!!

Ilse, thank you for the words of advice - I took it all in the nicest way possible, just as you meant them :)

No, he has not gone back to the psychiatrist for over a year now, refuses to believe he has a problem, and completely refuses meds!
He is a 30 year old grown man - and no, he has wiped his hands clean of his ex and their child, he supports a bit financially every month (and I mean a BIT), and that's that...I also am waiting for his ex to apply for maintenace soon, and then he has an even bigger problem!
But with all this being said, I just constantly think "this month will be the month he sees the light & changes his direction in life" bla bla bla - I'm just too soft hearted.
So it's time to boot him (sounds harsh, but that's the truth of the matter).....
Thank you again for your words Ilse, it so helps to hear from other ladies that have dealt with a similar situation before....
