Juno, I am sorry for your loss... WRT your questions.

1) A lot of ladies here use fertilityfriend.com, you can take their free course. You can track your cycles etc. it's very useful.
2) for folic acid, i take the folic forte 1 @ night. Im not sure about correct quantities.

Hi. I've recently had a D&C and am keen to get back into the saddle so to speak as soon as possible. I don't have time on my side (40) so want to do this as accurately as possible and not leave it to my typically unreliable calculations - both of my pregnancies didn't take long at all so it never became an issue.

So a couple of questions:

1) What are the best websites that you can recommend where I can go and teach myself?
2) The pregnancy that I have just lost had a neural tube defect - what quantities of folic acid are you taking?
3) Any other advice?

Thanks,

WannaB, good luck with the booking. let us know how it goes.

booked my day 2 checkup for Friday. CD31 today and started with cramps and cervix opening. Someone recomended Dr Rodrigues @ Medfem to me. Has anyone been to him? My Dr is also at Medfem and I am afraid of insulting him. I know he should be professional bla bla but still... I have been with him so long. I think its time for a 2nd opinion..
 :headbang: :swear:

I didnt feel anything to tell me that I was over stimulated but when my FS did the scan my follicles were measuring way too big for where I was in my cycle (and I was quite early in my cycle too) so egg production would be poor.

If you can, go for a consult, hear what they have to say and take it from there.

Good luck. Thinking of you.

Hi KLK

Thank you for the kind words....
I am in cape town, and may be going to the Cape Fertility Clinic as of next month. I should be visiting my gynae some time in next week, so I will know more by then
I was monitored constantly while on Clomid, as my doc was worried of over stimulation... what are the signs (if any) of overstimulation that they look for?

I am currently on cd27, and since cd22 I've been having wierd sharp cramps in my tummy. Sometimes on the right, and sometimes on the left. I've kept note of when and which side... will let my doc know of it

I will chat to DH and ask if he would like to carry on ttcing, and we can take it from there

Will keep you ladies posted on what's going on

WB, sorry that you are feeling like this, its not nice at all. A FS maybe a good idea to look into. My normal gynae does not like Clomid at all. She says that it makes your womb hostile and maybe 6 months of it may have done that. I had to see my gynae's partner when I was TTC'ing for this one and he put me on 2 months Clomid. I decided thereafter to go see a FS and when he did a scan he saw that my ovaries were over stimulated (due to the Clomid) so I was put on the pill for one cycle just to get my levels back to normal.

It may just be something simple that your normal doctor hasnt managed to pick up. I mean take my sister for example, the reason she couldnt fall pregnant was because her womb was too acidic and was killing the sperm. Her normal doctor could not pick it up but her FS did. She now has 2 kids. My FS saw something that no other doctor ever picked up which seemed to have been the reason why I wasnt falling pregnant.

So seriously, just think about it.

Which area do you live in?
