Hayley, did your hubby not have biology at school?? You can't use up all his sperm!! His body keeps on producing sperm on a daily basis, so it looks to me like he's just plain lazy!! Can't believe he says no for some nookie!! Maybe you should have a talk with him, because from the outside it looks like he's looking for excused NOT to have sex and therefore not become pregnant....?

Keep on testing with the OPK's, you've already bought them after all!! Even if you don't get a +, you'll still see the line becoming darker each day as you approach ovulation and that will give you a clearer picture on when approximately you ovulate then. If you do SMEP, you start BD on CD8 or CD9 already, every second day until you get a + OPK. If you don't get a + OPK, you keep on BD every second day until AF arrives or until you get a BFP.

Heksie, so you're suspicians were correct. Do they know why you're not ovulating? Good luck with the Clomid. Have you been on it before?

Hayley : You need to follow the SMEP as the book says, regardless of if/when you get a +OPK. You need to bear in mind most woman don't get one - and most of THEM fall pregnant regardless of what the OPK says.
Either you follow the SMEP in full, or you just TTC as it suites you.
There's nothing really confusing about it doll.....
If no +OPK, then you BD every night for 3 nights over your "normal" fertile period - so it say CD13, 14 & 15 if you usually ov on CD14.

I have lower back pain, and AF niggles, so I'm not confident yet (and yes, I KNOW we can have those niggles when preggies).
I just don't want my hopes dashed, again.....

Yes, 2 tablets is 100mg, that's the dose I was on this cycle....

Hayley : I though DH had agreed he is now with you 100% on this journey - if he says this, he must understand that you know a little bit more about how this TTC thing works than he does.
Ask him what he would do if you never get a +opk...how are you EVER going to bd then??? You HAVE to carry out the SMEP to cover all bases.....and he has to be a part of this journey with you.
All that's going to happen is you may miss the boat every single month because of his "questions", and you can't get your BFP. He needs to stick to his word and actually STICK with your plan doll.....the more he questions and doubts, the more you could constantly miss you BFP boat I'm afraid.

SexyHexy, sorry to hear you not ovulating but im sure you have a great POA ahead of you with the Clomid

Depends on how mg one tablet is friend, so if one tablet is 50mg and you have to take 2 then yes, it's 100mg you will be taking, but he might start you off on a low dosage and each tablet might only be 25mg and therefore you will be taking 50mg...

If i never get a +OPK, how do i know when i need to start the SMEP?

Hayley...I agree with KLK...the month I used OPK's...I never got the +...but I got pregnant that month...so if you BD for example the SMEP way...you will be covered even if you don't get that +OPK.

Hey hey it's Friday....but ugh...DH is working dayshift tomorrow and Sundag - 7 to 7...so not much of a w/end for me

On cd30 today...waiting for AF to arrive. Gynie phoned yesterday...bloodtest results came back for cd21...and I'm not ovulating as suspected. He faxed me through a prescription for clomid....starting with 2 tablets from cd5 - 9...how much is that, 100g?

So at least I know now what the prob is and I have a POA again YAY

Shame Hayley, men really just dont get it! I started the marathon at CD6 and I generally only O at CD17 but in my case I just didnt want this whole TTC journey to be all about TTC'ing. If that makes sense.

My only concern is that you miss your surge and you never get that +. I guarantee you that you if you asked the question on how many women get a + many will come back with a never. Sorry hun, dont mean to sound harsh but I know you want to be pregnant so badly and I just dont want you to miss it.
