I understand what you are saying but let say (Hypothetically) you had struggled to fall pregnant even it is was only for 6 months lets say don't you think you might have viewed some of our replies in a more sympathetic manner and not been so quick to make light of our feelings?

I think you got the idea that I am not sympathetic and make light of your feelings  . If so, you deffinitely got the wrong idea. I tried so hard to make that clear in my post... I respect your feelings and really sympathise as much as possible. I also don't judge your feelings of envy, anger, frustration etc. at all. You have the right to experience those feelings. In fact, I told a friend who was struggling to conceive that she must tell God how angry she is with Him for not helping her to get pregnant, and not to ignore her feelings. I think it is much healthier to express your feelings. I just wanted to caution against taking those frustrations out on those uninformed people. Give a go at the insensitive ones, by all means!

There are alot of sore broken hearts and people on this thread so please just bear with the feelings and what is a thread like this if true feelings can't really be shared.

I totally agree. I never meant it to sound like I think you shouldn't do this. I just felt very uneasy and unwelcome when I read some of the comments and also wanted to express my feelings by means of my loooong post. So see it in that light.

And no hard feelings at all. I can't even remember who made which comments, LOL. As long as you don't see me as the enemy from now on.

To conclude: Make love (BD :woohoo: ), not war...

my 2c...
Rakker, i think i get where you are coming from...
i also think that one's personal experience of the frustration of TTC may also be dependent on age.
personally speaking, im anxious about TTC because im worried about the increased risk of nasty stuff post 35 years (which is next year for me). plus my husband is 43 so no spring chicken either. so a delay in 6 months is frightening to me... when 10 years ago i would have been far more relaxed.
so much of this is so subjective... someone TTC'ing for 5 years would probably think 2 years is nothing to wait!

Grrrr just lost my post!!!!!!

Simone, please if you can ask if possible. I would owe you..... :)

Rakker, my actual post was about what you said, but in short:
TTC for a long time is not easy and none of us is "not happy" for a women getting her BFP - sometimes i could read about a bfp and felt just happiness for that person other days i would cry and be depro and angry - for who? - i cant tell you - i dunno.
But i'm getting heartbroken at women who fell preggies quick and all she can moan about is ms, weight, stretchmarks etc etc. I know they do it without being nasty but still we would be happy to have all that symptoms as long as we can have that little bundle at the end. And maybe when i get my bfp i will have the worst ms symptoms ever and then someone else will be angry with me complaining :) No-one can be angry with a women falling preggies because children is a gift.

BTW i cant believe you are so far already - time flies. :)

I hope i didnt step on any toes here or chose my words wrong. I fully understand where you're coming from.

Srry, just thought about it.

Any of you ladies on Thusrday Babies? The news letter the lady send in January is so sad. Here is a tiny bit out of the letter, it was quite long.

''As joyful as Christmas can be, I know that for me, it was always a painful time, where another year had passed without the desires of my heart coming to fruition. As I watched my nieces and nephews racing around, the thrill in their faces priceless, I struggled in the depths of my spirit to fully enjoy the scene. Christmas represented a lack for me. A lack in that part of my soul that longed for children; that ached to see my husband and my little ones racing around with their cousins. This year we had the honour and privilege of watching our dreams come true as our longed for, prayed for, and hoped for little ones enjoyed the day with our extended family. And yet, my heart still cries out for those babies still to come – yours.

Something I know all too well through our battle with fertility issues is that powerlessness is a feeling I grew accustomed to. Not comfortable with, but used to. It seemed that no matter what I did, or didn’t do, I was not able to affect the so desired outcome of a successful, on-going pregnancy. I felt slightly redundant in the matter. Being a woman of these times, I’d been sold the lie that I could have it all and do it all – if only I applied myself, tried harder, and put the required time and effort in. So I merrily set off on this journey doing all my research, taking vitamins and supplements, getting blood tests, undertaking different types of natural health practices, eating organic, losing weight (gaining weight!), and so forth. I sought expert medical help and advice, took my medicines and prayed. I prayed and prayed. I stopped praying. I prayed some more. And yet the journey continued. I must clarify that I fully believe in the power of prayer, but God’s timings and ways are so different to ours, that I have learned that He does not jump, just because I implore Him to!''
