wildcat2 - I must confess that this left me a tad concerned.

I did think some unsavoury and uncharitable thoughts about you over the weekend, and was wrestling this morning (I was up really early) how to raise them with you in the most diplomatic way possible - but thanks for clearing it up.

I have a letter from my pdoc to say I am insane, so tread lightly with me, some days I can be a total bitch. I'm lying. Most days I am a total bitch.

I abhor smiley face icons. Just saying.

Morning mommies,Ladybird and Charnenay i was in a hurry on friday, had to leave, wat i meant was wen you walk into the premises there is a security guard, you go up to which eva floor then there is a burglar, wat i meant was i lock the burglar, one cant open the burglar from the outside only from the inside,so for sure she can open it,and NO,I WOULD NEVER LOCK MY SON AND HIS NANNY INSIDE THE HOUSE,i am not reli worried about her leaving the premises, she does not know the area, and i made it very clear to her to neva try and go to the shops, she'd rather call me and will cum with wateva she needs, bcoz she will be calling me telling she is lost, has no idea where she is,and i will go crazy,we have a beautiful garden,so they normaly sit there during the day.

No offence taken, reading my comment now,i would also be freaked out :)

This is really scary but thank goodness that child was returned home! Things could easily have been very different with a bad outcome!

I watched special assignment before I was even pregnant and it was about what goes on at daycares and I swore there and then that my child would not be going that route if I ever had one.

As RM says...these stories are the minority..but good to read about.

Like Ladybird I have an excellent nanny...I truly believe if I keep her happy she keeps my child happy! She loves my child so much...even buys her bday pressies and understood when I initially could not give her an increase (but after her gracious attitude I made a plan to increase her salary). So please ladies...do your homework both ways...and go with your gut. If u go creche route...do as Nayeela did if u can and spend time there...nanny route...get references if u can.

Wow this is really scary stuff.
This is the reason I'm a SAHM. I would only trust my mom or MIL to take care of Liam. You can never know what goes on when you're not there or in their heads.
my brother has a nanny to take care of my 3 year old nephew. They go through quite a few nannies in a year because they always find that they are not doing their job properly. My nephew is a really quiet child, he hardly speaks and prefers to sit and watch tv. That's exactly what he does the whole day. I wouldn't want my son to be taken care off by someone who doesn't want to talk to him or play with him or teach him new things.
