I am a work from home mom, I had my first baby girl when I still lived in CT. No support system and I needed to work (even if it was at home).
It proved to be very challenging at first, however, once she started to sit I found it much easier! I would rotate toys and play songs... the best part was finger foods! She would sit next to me, so I can keep an eye on her, but it kept her busy while i got some work done.
It is more than possible - however, I never had time to go to the gym. Running your own business and being a mother took up all my time!
I have moved to JHB (granny is much closer now) and have two children under 3. Starting up a second business and love to work from home. I have to admit, I do have a nanny to help me with the kiddies now..
See how it goes, you will most likely be overwhelmed at first (most first time mothers are) But you'll settle in and find there is always clever little ways to do your studies and be a very attentive mom
