When stripping the nappies do you add 4 tablespoons of bicarb to the rinse cycle 4 times or just one tablespoon? Then how much vinegar do you rinse with after that? Thanks

I really only do it occasionally. I go through phases and then I do Bicarb in every rinse cycle. I only use the vinegar when I strip the nappies of any residue (From spot cleaning as I use a wash ball and now powder) That I do about once a Month only really. I don't use the vinegar as a softener with every wash because the results I get from the washball don't require me to use softener at all.

Yes, rosehip is great! I'm also a big fan of apricot kernel oil. I use apricot, jojoba, avocado and cold pressed sunflower oil to make up my massage oil blends. Such fun to play...

Will keep my eyes and ears open with regards to Shea butter and let you know if I discover a supplier...

Skai, I got a good contact for pure beeswax, R90 for a Kilogram which is a huge amount. The cocoa butter was R100 for like 450g. Zinc is cheap but I think I could get it cheaper if I bought it in bulk. I would prefer Shea Butter because then i could do baby lotion as well but you just can't really find it here. I have to fiddle a bit more with combinations now. Lip balms are nice. I bout some beautiful carrier oils for very good prices at the shop Rain in our Mall. I bought, jojoba, macadamia, Avocado, Olive, Rosehip and some Chamomile & Lavender essence there too. I have decided to use the Rosehip on my face as a mosturiser as it's good for Anti-Ageing.

Yes, keeping the cost down on natural body products is difficult. Pure Shea butter is also expensive and not sure who sells it at the mo. But you sound like you are on the right track....it's all up to proportions really. I make my own lip balms sometimes with beeswax and carriers oils but never get the same consistency ;) Your home must smell great though while you are making it all!

Wilma, to make your things that look grey white again you must add some Bicarbonate of soda into your rinse cycle, It's a good whitener and refresher.
