Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

@ Zodwa, I change the covers at about the 3rd nappy change of the day, and if poo get onto it then obviously then as well:)

Zodwa, i'm not to fammiliar with the MN range, actually i was under the impression they are all in one nappies. I use stegi covers and my own nappies. I change my nappy cover at least after every 3 wet nappies and after every poo nappy if some of the poo made it onto the cover.

If I go out, I always take 2 nappies and 1 clean cover with me. Hope this helps.

How often do u change the nappy cover??? How long do u use it before u wash it?

Zodwa, at 6 months I wouldn't leave it on for much longer than 4 hrs. Even if its not that wet, the bacteria is starting to multiply. Now that my LO is 14 months, I sometimes (not often) leave the nappy on longer because i find that he pees at more regular intervals. I change him after a sleep, and before he goes to sleep I feel if it is wet, if it is, then I change him or else he won't sleep well.

That's not bad going. Mine are usually soaked within about 2.5 hours but sometimes go for 3 hours. I think it just depends how much he drinks in that time. If it's still nice and dry then I don't think you really need to change it unless you are worried about his skin being agaist the wee for so long.

I finally got my MN nappies!!!
I kept them on Ruru for 4 hrs before I changed him, I used the nappy liner. What I found was that his bottom was dry & the nappy wasnt all that wet. Most of it was dry

How long do u ladies leav the nappy on? Do u think I should leav it on longer?
