Charlotte I would say all in moderation as it is high in salt. However biltong is a well known teething aid not only because of it's sanitizing effect on the area. Just make sure it's not that hard dry stuff but a nice thick wet piece and brush off the coriander. Liam's been on biltong for a couple of months and loves it but he certainly doesn't get it every day. But he definitely needs more liquid than usual afterwards. Also remember to keep it in the freezer after finishing with a chew.

Morning mommies

I made some cheese, egg and macon muffins for K on the weekend and she loved it. I just think thats another way I can get her to eat more veggies now. I will be making veggie muffins for her as she loves anything thats "doughey"

Charlotte - as far as I known biltong is not suitable because of the high salt content. My husband makes biltong and after seeing how it is made, I also cannot see how that is suitable for babies as the amount of salt that goes in there is a lot.

Cherrie, Baby City stocks a range of the Organix products. Unfortunately I haven’t however been able to find another source in SA. Go check out their website @ Organix - very yummy recipes.

2kidmamma/Jems – tried your recipes over the wkend – what a hit! Thanks for that!

We tried grapes for the first time today (cut them in half) – it’s amazing how they work the skin to the front and out of their mouth. He doesn’t do the same with meat which he has difficulty spitting out – instead he cries for me to remove it from his mouth.

Bronz I mostly do toast (minus crusts for now) because it’s easier to grip. He mostly just sucks the cream cheese off it anyway. Also as Shazz says bread gets very doughy.

Bronz the blw book suggest toast, as it crumbles better and white breaf can be "doughy". Oh and keep the fibre a minium, so better to stick with white, or low fibre....

Today I went shopping, and yeah bought a few things that I know Clair can have a few tasters... I think my entire diet at home by the time Clair officially strats solid will be a lot healthier.
