Feeding your baby BLW style

HI ladies sorry to butt in just a quick one .My son is 1yr&10mnths
he has always been spoon fed by me .I was just always concern that if i don`t feed him he wont get enough to eat .I now know that was wrong of me .He is now refusing me to feed him and wants to eat by himself so i have started taking a step back and letting him do it .Now my concern is he only takes about 3 or so bites then he doesn`t eat further and messes the food around .Some nights he wont even eat and will just play with the food .I tend to get very upset and the eating becomes a fight and constant battle .What can i do or how do i do it is it ok for him to not eat ? should i just leave him?

I really don`t want eating to become a problem or fight .

Hi there, I would like to ask you a question. My LO is 15 months and doesn't really do the BLW way. She eat het cookies and chippies and al those kinds of stuff on her own, but when it comes to dinner she sits on my lap and then I feed her. And she seems happy like that.

Do you think that is ok ? This is a very interesting tread. I would like to do the BLW way 100% but at this stage I think this feeding thing works for both LO and me.

Would like to hear your opinion.

I bought Feeding Sense (latest in the Sense series) a couple of days ago and was interested to see that they give a term to the combination feeding that some (including myself) practice. It's called modified baby-led weaning whereby one literally has 2 bowels one from which baby is fed by spoon and the other with a variety of finger foods -exactly the way I do it.

just noticed that since I started doing BLW part time he dsnt want to feed himself much anymore.
He'll taste everything but wont really eat it, except chicken. If I feed him using my hands, he eats everything & if he's full, he lets me know

Hi ladies
Ruru had eggs for the 1st time today. I scrambled them but he looked so confused it seems he didnt know what to do with them. He spent the whole time squeeshing them in his hands.
I eventually fed them to him with my hands & he ate everything & wanted more..... was crying for more so I gave him yoghurt....
He dsnt want milk in the mornings anymore, he has his 1st bottle at 12pm these days, will take water in the morn, not milk
He refuses to eat carrots still, dsnt like green beans much either

he's developed his pincer grip now but when I give him peas he picks them up & throws them on the floor. Im sure they'll make it to his mouth soon.
He's busy teething again, has two already so not sleeping well at night.

Oh my goodness its true! Even the shapes of their heads hahaha!
He is too pretty!
