Hi Marijke,
I have been trying BLW (my own way) but I think I need a lot of help! I actually want to go and buy the book.
As you know, Colby will not eat off of a spoon. He loves feeding himself though. So this is what I've been doing. First I feed him a puree or cereal (usually only about 2 t-spoons) then I give him something to eat himself. I've given him plum, peach, apple, pear, butternut, tomato and a crackerbread. Here's the thing though, with the crackerbread, I was terrified he would choke! I eventually took it away from him! Also, how do you give the yogurt? in a bowl? Vision, PnP makes a fantastic full cream yogurt. Look for the greek style one. It's the only yogurt my DH will eat.
Mealtimes are much more fun now though. I think I just need a greater variety of food. Thanks for all the ideas. Will try potato today and also a piece of toast.
Doesn't bovril and those spreads have a lot of salt in? They taste super salty to me? Also with ham and cured meats, we must just be careful. Cold meats have a certain chemical or preservative in them which can be harmful to babies. I'll do more research though, just to be sure.
