She is pure steel that woman! Doctors dislike her with a passion but she proves them wrong around every corner.

My own gynae who is very pro natural first words to me were "Well done, I really didn't think you could do it but you proved me wrong." Then as an after thought as she was leaving "I like people who prove me wrong."

Listen, vbac or natural birth, the key is actually that you just need to be massively stubborn and believe in yourself - and keep yourself in good mental and physical shape

Marijke@ Marrianne is so good, I wanted her to be my midwife only to find she moved to ct but she referred me to another midwife called Elmarie Peters and I'm happy I found her. She is pro homebirth too.

Oh wait gosh no, I was wrong, just had to look back at my own fb status.

She walked to 41weeks 5 days, homebirth with Marianne Littlejohn as midwife and baby was in fact 5.6kg!

And she is a tiny mommy, I saw her when she was 39 weeks and she looked like she just swallowed a tiny bowling ball!

Morning ladies

congrats Marijke, that's awesome news. Can't wait to hear about your 2nd vbac. I heard about the birth on the vbac in sa fb page, it really does show that most cs are unnecessary

ahhhh WOW! No, don't recall reading about it here. That is amazing!
5.2 kg ???????? Hope all the ladies who think that they need a c-section because baby is too big reads this! (Although there might be rare instances that there might be truth, but usually not at all.). Browsing through all the mommies by month threads I am surprised by so many ladies thinking they can't birth naturally because doctor says baby is too big. I Know Ina May also wrote about this extensively - debunking the size myth.
