@Leez - What a relief to hear its not the hectic anaesthetic!

@Liza - the anesthesia is really not hectic at all. I think I was out for 15min. Its not like the way they put you out for a full on operation, well mine wasn't anyway. And strangely enough, you're gonna see how this process gives you strength and abilities you didn't know you had! We ladies are stronger than we give ourselves credit for!

Prof is booking me off for a week, but I think it might make me CRAZY with nothing to do. So I've decided to take off for this week (Wed-Fri) and then start working again next week. I should have my results by the 28th to know if it worked or not!

@Leez I'm worried about the anesthesia. This would be a first for me! But one thing at a time so I'm focusing on the first injections for now.

Are you taking time off after the transfer?

@Leez - You are right, it is a small sacrifice! Will have a blanky and movies ready just in case!

@Chanti - the retrieval is totally painless since you're out of it entirely. I remember Prof holding my hand while they injected the stuff into the IV, and when I woke up, hubby was at my side smiling. I didn't feel sick or nauseous at all. But its painful after, almost like after a scrape? So you feel tender and raw, and I had shooting pains for most of Friday and Saturday. But today I can really say I feel good!! So small sacrifice of discomfort for a few days. Prof says some people react even better and feel great after a day, but it took me 2 days.

I find it fascinating how each clinic differs in treatment. My progesterone is not a suppository or injection. Its a cream like gel in a holder which I insert similar to a tampon every morning. And then just lie down for 10 min.

@liza - I am sorry it didn't turn out to be a true BFP So excited for you to start now!!!! How time has gone by quickly hey. No cramps, yay!!!! Boobies have also gotten less sensitive so able to feel a bit normal again.

@Leez - I am so glad retrieval went well!!!!! Grow embies grow!!!! Two more sleeps and they will be back where they belong What was painful about the procedure? The recovery? Feeling sensitive down there? I am really nervous for retrieval as the anaesthetic makes me feel so ill.

@Ladysa - I pray that your retrieval went well and that your eggies fertilise beautifully! What were the tablets they gave to hubby for? Eish, I didnt know you have to lie down after the suppositories... I would have to go home for lunch to do that and I believe the injections are quite painful as the liquid is quite thick. Really not sure which one I would go for.

AFM, still waiting patiently for next Wed! Trying to stay calm and relaxed. Seeing as we have to travel so far to our clinic and will have to take the whole day off work I thought it would be good for DH and I to have breakfast after most appointments and walk around Gateway a little, just to feel a little normal and find the fun side of the whole journey.
