@Chanti, yeah definitely the over googler in me, checking stats and how many follicles etc, But they did put me on a low dose. I guess im worried because I am planning to freeze (if, heaven forbid this round doesnt work, or for the next munchkin), so i wanted as many as possible, so will ask the question tomorrow.

@Liza, cry it out, u feel better and when u reach where Leez and I are then you are weirdly calmer and positive i think, because this is it, its the most you can do from a treatment and money point of view, well i guess thats how i see it, there is nothing more really, so hang in there and it goes really quick! I actually cant believe its happening so fast!

@Leez, just pray. It will be ok. i know my faith has been everywhere these last couple months. but pray and it will be ok. I havent told anyone so im really grateful that i get to share to my anonymous friendlys

On my end i did the 2nd cetrotide injection 0.25mg this morning - it was quite sore afterwards through the morning. and i have around my belly tiny little blue maroon spots where the injections were administered. But generally i do bruise quite easily as hubby was quite defensive of is "doctor'ing" skills . But i am feeling uncomfortable now. especially last night, i felt almost "lumpy" around my belly and heavy like i needed to puke and couldnt fall asleep all that easily, but then again the heat last night def played a part. My belly is definitely larger and swollen, my pants is way too tight. but a few more days....and then we can get back to normality i hope!

Thanks Ladies for your kind words, hubby and I are feeling apprehensive for the next step but eager to see if the fertilization is successful. I had my HCG injection last night , 36hours before the actual retrieval procedure, and have to be at the clinic tomorrow morning at 7am.

@Ladysa - good luck with today's scan, I hope all goes well and that you get a few answers to the questions you have. Let us know how you're progressing!!

@Liza -glad to hear you are feeling better. The emotional roller-coaster of this process can be exhausting but you have a loving and supportive hubby by your side so remember to lean on him when you need to. The tender breasts will stay that way right through, mine are a little swollen and very tender at the moment and Prof says it will stay that way now

Have to start with Crinone gel tomorrow, which I use from now as it carries progesterone which aids with the implantation of the egg into the lining and I'll keep using it until Prof tells me otherwise. Am also missing my glass of wine, but we celebrated my birthday yesterday with some non-alcoholic champagne

From my side, i'm just praying for these last few days to past! It's just dragging on. My heartburn has subsided thank heavens! I've been feeling very emotional the last two days. Every and anything can make me tear up. I've got my diet under control and also the coffee.

CD26 for me today. Obviously i have tender breasts and twitching downstairs. No sign of AF yet, for the first time in 3 years i'm praying for her to make her appearance!!

@Ladysa - Please don't stress about the number of your follicles!!! Honestly, please dont!!! All it takes is one! It is more about the quality than the quantity. A lady had 35 retrieved the other day and not one made it.... Please don't let the numbers. Relax and let those eggies grow nice and plump!!

@Leez - that is incredible news!!! I actually just got butterflies, what an exciting time!!! Yay!!!!!

OMG @Leez!!! I can literally feel your excitement, i am so excited for you!!! this is amazing awesome news! i have such a good feeling for you, this is it! you are going to get your little bundle of joy soon!! Im holding thumbs, and praying all good better than well!!

i went this morning for the CD 7 scan. the doctor and nurse were happy with the progression thus far and size. i was concerned that there were only 4 follicles on either side. and i am worried thinking thats too few?? and what if those few are bad. but i am trying best to stay positive. Next scan is Friday. nurse said all on track and lining good etc. Retrieval should be Monday. which would be my CD12. and i normally get a positive opk on CD14 so its sooner for ovulation if retrieval is on monday??. I have started the cetrocide injection which i need to continue - this prevents ovulation so that the follicles still grow with the Gonal F.
So thats where i am, next scan friday, but im definitely going to call about the number of follicles, it is worrying me...

Hallo Ladies!

I am so excited I can barely sit still! The appointment with the clinic went very well and we are ready to retreive - can you believe it!! Prof thought I'd have to keep injecting until at least next week, but my eggies are a good size (all between 17 and 20) and at least 6 big ones at this stage which he can take out. YAY!! And that means the total cost is not nearly as much as we anticipated which is GREAT!!

I'm really grateful as the area where we had been injecting the Menopur and Lucrin was rather tender! So tonight its the HCG injection and by Friday morning....we take them out and its time to fertilize!! We hope to put two eggs back in by Wednesday next week, possibly Tuesday if they develop faster

@Ladysa - so glad to hear it's going well. You seem to be positive which is great news and coping well with the injections. I read your piece about your faith and God's plan and felt such a similarity in situations as hubby and I felt the same way. And we spoke today about how calm we are about this IVF decision. If this is God's will, he will allow this to be successful. But we won't push His hand. on His time all will work out for the best.
@Ladysa - my flow was also very light leading up to this and have managed to yield quite a few eggs so I wouldn't bee too worried.

@Chanti & @ Liza - can't wait for you to begin the journey and share you experiences with us.
