Morning Ladies,
Jamie had a fanstatic day at school yesterday. They had a party from 11 till 1, which included a waterslide, now if you know Jamie, you would know this is his best thing every, WATER! So needless to say he played the most and was the wettest! When the teacher wanted to turn the water off after 1 after all the kids left, Jamie walks up to her at the tap, put his hands on his hips and says "nee moenie"! He is cute! Comes home with new words every day.
See my son is a bit behind, so yes, he doesn't speak that many words, but you can understand him. He is well behaved, but has no routine, or well a semi routine in anyway. But now I need advice. So you all know that I have moved Jamie to his big bed, and first night went well. He fell a sleep late because of the sugar overdose he had yesterday, woke up at 1am, didn't get out the bed just called for me, which made me so proud and happy. I got into bed with him, then only noticed it wasn't because he wanted me but because his tummy was sore. So gave him something and in about a hour he fell a sleep again. And slept through, so I would say not a bad night at all!
Now the advice I need. Jamie loves his milk, but also loves his food. I have been trying to wean him off his milk. But he has about 3 a day of 250 ml, this is soya milk. But he still drinks out of a bottle and refuses the sippy cup. He will drink water out of a normal bottle but messes like crazy. SO now, how many bottles a day of milk? Then how do I move him off the milk during the night. He has a half a bottle before bedtime, then during the night the rest, then a half a bottle in the morning, and before nap time in the afternoon another bottle. AND how do I get him off the bottle? I mean what age is right for this, and how do I get him to take the sippy cup? I have tried the nuk sippy cups, the avent ones, and even one with a straw?! He doesn't like the nuk because you have to suck really hard, the avent is easier and the one with straw he hasn't mastered yet.
Please help! I feel like an idiot.
