yup, completely normal. I think I lost something like 10kg before our wedding due to stress, the day when I was supposed to pick up my dress, as I was walking out the door with it, something just said, try it on again. She had to take it in quite a bit and they were almost not finished in time (and it was still loose on the day of the wedding). When is the big day again (Oct right?)

ZelF-Sorry to hear you bleeding, hope you were able to entertain yourself while on bedrest? How are things going at work? I know it is easier said than done, but try and stay calm...(says the girl that freaked out so spectacularly during the c-sec I tried to get off the operating table)

Ashleigh, cannot wait for the spring to properly begin in Cape Town, we are still freezing...also longing for that first swim, just occured to be, that our complex has a solar heating system for the pool, so maybe, just maybe I will be able to get a swim in tonight. The sun finally came out so looks promising.

Carlene, I have never been able to follow a diet properly, tried the South Beach diet before the wedding and that worked wonders, but that only lasted a couple of months.

Cakes, how is the wedding plans coming along?

Chubby your DH sounds sweet, can I send mine for training?

DH and I have also had a bit of a rough patch. Broke into tears on Saturday night and finally got everything off my chest so at least he knows how I feel and I can see he is trying to make an effort, lets hope it sticks. He has been very absent and leaving alone with out son very often and I just dont feel like I have him in my corner (know what I mean?) so told him Sat night that he needs to be more present. I deserve better, his son deserves better and he needs to shape up. Breaks my heart everytime he leaves then I must tell our son stories when he asks where daddy is. LIke he will go to his parents house the entire saturday and leave me and our son to do whatever. If we want to be with him we must spend out time there, and that is not fair. I like my MIL but I dont want to spend that much time with them.

Carlene, we were in Ashton for Christmas when I was pregnant with my son (I was about 36-38 weeks then) and it was horrible. It gets just as hot as in Upington. Took a inflatable pool with and it turned out to be great fun.

To all the girls that have names in mind, how fortunate. I cannot seem to think of any. Our surname is Swanepoel and I want an English name but not too English *( I am going to raise my kids fully biligual-have English schools in mind and Afrikaans names will just make things difficult for them). I like Llewellyn, but DH is not keen on it

Oh and Doc thinks it is another boy (must have done something wrong in my previous life that I am being punished...)Had to cancell my scan for last week due to work pressures and next appt is only 10 October, so will have to wait till then to be sure.

Hi Cookie, so sorry for what you are going through. This is the last thing you need during this pregnancy.

ChubbyChick, I picked up 24kg with my LG. Lost 10kg in the first 2weeks, and then managed to loose the last 14kg before I fell pregnant. But I actually needed to loose another 8kg, to be what I was at my wedding, but I will try again after this pregnancy to loose all the weight.

About the party. I usually take my LG to bed earlier. Like this Sunday the B-day party was also 14h00, and my LG usually sleeps from 13h00-15h00 or later. So I took her to bed 12h, and went to wake her up at 14h00. At the party she was fine, but afterwards she was a bit difficult.

Well, Zel, I started really “good” with my healthy eating today with a Club sandwich from the Total garage on my way to work. There was not any time this morning to make something healthy. Lunch was a bit healthier with two crackerbreads and eggs. And I’m having an apple now.
With my previous pregnancy we went to Upington for Christmas. I nearly died. I was about 30weeks pregnant and I struggled with water retention, so I looked like a watermelon. It was NOT nice. Luckily we are in Pta over the December holiday, so I think it will be a lot better for me this time around
