LOL Carlene. I think my MIL is also jealous. She will always comment on the way my mom does things with Zaylee. Or I will hear that they heard her crying or something in that line. She did that alot in the begining, and every time I wouldn't pay much attention to her, so lately she doesn't do it so much.

I dont agree on with some of MIL methods of raising a child. In my opnion, grandparents are there to love and spoil their grandchildren. Not to dicipline them. Thats the parents job. Yes my mother does spoil Z but at least I dont sit at worrying at work that my child has to cry herself to sleep. Or to be forced to sit and play on the floor if she doesnt want to. She gets lots of love and attention which a baby thrives on. And the in laws dont seem to understand that.

Its so funny how angry they can make a person.

Jaundre - men think women dont know anything when it comes to repairs are cars. So annoying!

Carlene we will be at PTA east hospital on the same day. We are also going on the 26th for our fetal assessment at 17:00. Really cant wait anymore.

LOL on the MIL part Ashleigh. The plan was to build 3 houses on our “plot” but, my MIL cannot afford it anymore, and we also cannot get a bigger loan. In a way I’m glad, because she can be “High maintenance” sometime, and I think she is jealous because my mom is looking after my LG. She said that she will take Emma from 3years on and then I told her No, Emma is going to pre-school when she turns 3y. She was not very impressed with me.

Zel, you must really take it easy and REST, REST, REST.

I’m not sure what my Dr charge for a scan. My next visit is the 26th of Sept. Maybe that one will be more expensive, because that will be the 20week assessment. We decided not to go for the fetal assessment at the assessment centre, as Dr Trouw is very good with his scans and will pick it up if there is something wrong with baby.

Well, I’m having a second Baby shower. In fact I might be having 2. My friend is organizing the one and the work usually gives one. We are 8 girls working in the finance office with two guys, so any chance for a party and we are there. But I did told my friend that she must just mail my friend at work and ask her, otherwise she can invite the girls from work as well.

O Jaundre, so sorry to hear about your car. Jis, it is funny how a sales guy can try to talk our girl into something. They think we are stupid.

Zel - Yes my mother in law does them. She charges between R60 - R65 depending on the size of the picture you want. This includes the baby name embroided on it and she "hickels" the border of the doek.

Well we were officially 12 weeks yesterday, cant wait to see my gynae tomorrow (9.15am).

My car went in on Monday to have a new bumper fitted (I drove into the back of someone)... Am only getting it back tomorrow so DH and I have been sharing his car. What a mission
But these auto body shops are such skelms.... the guy there tries to convince me into them repairing the bumper instead of replacing it. I only bought the car in March so I want a new bumper. I bet he was going to charge my insurance for a new one but repair mine. I told him on Monday that I want to see the old bumper when I collect my car on Friday...

Shoo your gynae is expensive. Mine is R350 for a normal session and special scans are an extra R600 or something?

Carlene wow congrats on being halfway! I am so glad the MS is finally passing for you. My friend spent like R6000 or something like that on Gaviscon in her pregnancy!

Ashleigh im not sure about a 2nd baby shower - wouldnt mind 1 if its a boy cause I only have girl stuff

My friend said to me over the weekend that in November Zaylee will be turning 1 and I will must likely be having my baby shower. I have now idea if I'm going to have a 2nd baby shower (let alone who will be arranging it) Will you ladies be having a 2nd baby shower?

I had such a good laugh yesterday. My MIL is such a piece of work. She has a way a changing a story to suit her. So I get a call from my mom yesterday very upset - my MIL has locked her in the house and she does not have keys to get out. My mothers version is that my MIL came there for some reason (zaylee was in her walking ring) and when MIL was leaving she decided to pull the trellidor closed because she is scared Z will fall out the door. We dont have a standard door,only the 1 side was open and she cant fit through there with her walking ring. She always wants to interfer with the way my mom does things with my child. So I had to leave work to go and unlock the door.

Yesterday afternoon DH and I were standing outside with the kids, my MIL comes out and begins to tell us(her version of the story) that ja my mother was very clever she locked herself in the house today. I then said to her that's not i heard, i heard SHE had locked the door. She of coarse denyed it, and when she did I told her my mother never closes the trellidor because she is always in and out because she is not allowed to smoke in my house. With that she didn't know what to say. DH I walked to the front garden where my mom was sitting laughing. I told my mom what she had just told us. My mother was so angry but all we did was laugh because we know MIL changes the true story to the way it best suits her.

Never a dull moment having your parents and In-laws staying so close together.

So gald its almost the weekend. Hope the weather in warm on Saturday. A friend and I are planning to take the kids to Zita park for a picnic.
