Jan/Feb/Mrch 2012 Momies to Be

Carlene, I pick up 33.5kg vir my LG after losing 47.5kg in 8 months. And lost 11kg with the birth (in the short time that the c-sec lasted), and only managed to loose another 2kg or so before I fell pregnant again.

My DH and I wanted to start TTC in June while I loose some weight and get my body ready, but alas, I fell pregnant right away. This after gynaes told me I will never fall pregnant without help. But I am glad I did not have to try for long.

How much weight did you pick up with your previous pregnancy?

Then another thing, we just got invited to a 1st b-day party, but it is on a Saturday and at 14:00. That is exactly my LG takes her day nap. What do you suggest I do? Stay away from the party? Try to let my LG sleep a bit earlier? I really don't know, as she only sleeps once a day from 13:30 to 16:30. Any suggestions?

Ag, ChubbyChick, I think your bump will also look beautiful. I also picked up a lot of weight with my previous pregnancy and I struggled for 2years to loose it. Finally joined sureslim and lost 14kg in 3months time. I was so proud of myself and then I fell pregnant. I joined there maternity plan with the hope of not picking up so much weight as with my first pregnancy. They “guaranteed” me that I will not pick up more that 10kg in my whole pregnancy. But with the MS I didnt feel like eating all the stuff on the diet. Well, I’m on 10kg now and I’m only halfway through my pregnancy. But I decided that my MS is over so as on from Monday, I’m on healthy eating again.

Thanx for the replies regarding the movement. I felt my first LG at 17 weeks, but haven't felt this one yet. I will be 16 weeks on Monday. Maybe the fact that I am 20kg heavier this time round plays a role in not feeling movement yet?

My DH just send me an e-mail about how much he loves me and how much he appreciates me, needless to say, I burst into tears

My next gynae appointment is only the 11th of October. I'll be 19 weeks then.

Like I said for a girl it will be: Tia and for a boy it will be De Wet.

Carlene - I thing Miane (don't know where to get the stripy thingy on the e) is a beautiful name. And it is sort off a mix between your two choices. If I did not already have a girls name I would strongly consider it.

Juandre - Congrats on the good news from the gynae.

Hi ladies hope all of u are doing great @Juandre nice pic i dont have a tummy to show at the moment and am 17weeks and a couple of days .I cant wait to show my bump.My husband and i have decided on a name if its a girl it will be Ti Amo ( Portugesse) meaning love for a boy my husband things it should still be Ti Amo but i think it will make him weak its a "TOO GIRLY"

Hi ladies,

Alls good with baba.... The nucal fold is less than 1.5mm so am low risk for downs although dr did warn that this is only 85% accurate. Baby was so active we couldnt get a decent picture. Dr was laughing at how much baby was moving around. I got to see a hand and fingers, legs and feet. Its always so nice to visit the gynae. I wish we could go more often.

We like Taitum for a girl and Jarred for a boy but will make a list and decide closer to the time.

Have such a busy weekend.... Shiloe has a night hockey match tonight and sports day tomorrow after the SA rugby game. Then she has a party.
