Morning ladies

I just wanted to say that I’m halfway today. Cannot belief the time is flying by so fast and that I’m already 20weeks. Well, I had my first cup of coffee in 3 months this morning, and I didn’t visit the toilet after that. But now I have heartburn, so I think Gaviscon will become my best friend for the next 20weeks as I wave my old friend the toilet goodbye. Hope he can find it in his heart to forgive me, but I will still visit him “bum” down and not face down anymore.

I tried to attach a photo of my 2week bump, but for some reason I cannot attach a photo from my work PC, so I will try again tonight at home. It is scary that I don’t look 20weeks, but more like 6months.

Sjoe, my gynae is expensive - I pay R700 per visit! Luckily the medical aid pay me back about R620. Carlene, my gynae is Dr Johan Cillie.

I'm so glad that everything is OK. It is not nice to have a fright like this. I remember with my pregnancy with my LG I started to feel period pains as well, but it was not constant pains it was coming and going, and then the people at work told me that I must rather go to the hospital.
Who is your gynae?

Ashleigh, maybe you can try Dr Trouw at Pta East. I know he is still pro normal. He is also very cheap with his consultation fees. We paid for our previous consultation only R270 were we paid at Kloof R500 for each consultation. And Dr trouw did a very detailed sonar in 3D as well.
But hope your Dr will be back soon, because you already know him

Gynae says all is fine with LG, she's not in distress and heartbeat is perfect. No contractions either which is good news. I have a bad urinery infection and have to drink Progestorone again. On bedrest again,not allowed to pick up the kids, no baths(only shower) no s.e.x., etc! ( Doc even said take-aways for us for the rest of the week). I hope it will help! This has really been the most difficult pregnancy so far out of the 3! Everyone keeps telling me, it's a little girl and they are little fighters, she will stick around! I really believe this!!

Angelique I dont think any Dr. should be pro C Section and should deal with each woman and her wants. After 7 hours of labour with my LG i BEGGED my gynae for a csection and he told me just to hang in there I am tough
My friend is going to him now and she had a Csection cause baby was too big (2.4kg when she was born??) and he is happy to try for a Vbac for her if things go well when the time comes - he doesnt just say no.
Shoo it is amazing how expensive it is hey! You dont really think about it when you have medical aid!

Chubbychick so happy to hear all is going well and baba is doing fine!!!

AFM - the gynae appointment went great - the baby is perfect and growing nicely and has a strong heartbeat. Dr. tried to see the sex but couldnt see anything yet. Fuchal thing by the neck is perfect so dont have to go for a down syndrome test

Went to see my brother and SIL afterwards and they let us into the ward (by accident cause only grandparents are allowed). the nurse says to me why you come visit at 5 so I said cause i went to the dr for my preg check up so she said ok you can go through. They have changed the maternity ward - it is sooooo nice!!!! My sil had a private room which was stunning!!! I am going to save up and get 1 :)With my LG I was in the general ward and it was tiny and I was by the door. The other two moms by the window kept their curtains shut so I didnt see the sun for 2 days and I felt so claustraphobic!!!

My niece is so beautiful and they are over the moon with her!!! She weighs 3.87kg and is 52.5cm tall!
