So my c-section was due for 12th March as my gynae does his planned c-secs on Mondays. But my DH's business is so busy this quarter. He will be in JHB every Monday. He also wont be available 14th and 15th March. So when I see the gynae next week we need to look at when we can deliver...

Ashleigh- Unfortunatley I have not been able to go into labour naturally but have been told by many people that it works so HEATHER you better get your DH into bed!!!!
So glad all is set for your home birth. With so many people having c-sections now days it is great that we will have two people on our thread having a home birth. I am so envious :)

Hi Ladies.

I’m so glad everyone is doing so well and all the babies are growing nicely.
We just had the midwife at the house for a inspection to check if is order for the home birth. She is very happy with everything and says I’m very organised. She is also happy with me and baby. Baby is lying low which is great. My blood pressure is on the low side but nothing to worry about. I can’t wait anymore. hubby on the other hand says she can stay in for another 2 weeks.

I hope all the mom that have had their babies are doing well.

Juandre I believe that sex helps bring on labour. Helped me with my first and I’m definitely going to using that trick this time around LOL.

Angi- both my girls were 2.9kgs and it was a nice weight. Shiloe was born at 38 weeks at 2.9kg and McKeilagh was born at 36 weeks at 2.87kg. Only a month left for you now!!!

Vision- I really do sympathise with you regarding the swollen feet. With both girls I was so so swollen from 20 weeks. It really is the pits...

AFM-I went and got a few things for baby yesterday- a 3 pack of tommee tipee bottles for when I express, a dummy holder, cot sheets, nappy bit liners, sterilising liquid and stocking up on wet wipes. I was looking for muslin cloth wraps or receiving blankets as it is so hot and humid here in durban but they were sold out.
So M woke three times last night- 10.30, 1 and 3.30. She was asleep again in 5 minutes which is a relief but still means broken sleep. I only fell asleep after 11pm as I had a really sore back yesterday.

Enough moaning.... As I buy things for baby I start to get more and more excited!!!!!

Hello Ladies

Cookiemonster I understand you completely - it is almost impossible to be patient after being pregnant for 40 weeks. I agree with Juandre it is definitely a sign of labour - my what to expect book says it is your bodies way of cleaning out your bowels to get ready for labour.

Next week is going to be nice and busy - cant wait to see pics of all the new babies :)

Juandre sounds like you had a lovely evening out - you deserve it!!! It could be her acting up as you get closer to having the new baby - toddlers can sense alot. Bekah has also been sleeping very restlessly and she sleeps so well usually aswell. It could also be a growth spurt?

Chubbychick WOW you have been super busy!!!!! You have got so much done!!! De wet sounds nice and busy.

Carol so good to hear that Ruan is settled nicely in his school. How long are the grandparents staying? 5 days left for you - i am sure they are going to fly by!!!

My feet were so swollen yesterday from the heat - I cant wait to have my ankles back

Morning ladies,

Heather- the answer to your question is yes that can be a sign of labour being near!!!! I hope for you it is. Have you tried sex- there is something in the sperm thats meant to start labour when baby is ready and engaged!

So M slept at my MIL last night, she woke at 2am and was up for an hour so when DH went to collect her at 6.30am she was still asleep. She also screamed when I dropped her at school this morning which she hasnt done since her first week there. Mayb my midwife was right- she is just playing up cause she senses the baby is close. But my DH wants me to take her to the paed as he cant believe she still isnt sleeping through after 3 weeks.
We went for a lovely dinner last night, DH ordered a bottle of Moet to celebrate my pass. We were home early though and got a good 8 hours sleep, I didnt even get up for the loo!!!

It is a little cooler in Durbs today, YAY!!! But only slightly. I have a school meeting tonight :( and tomorrow night we have wine club. So its a busy week.

Appointment with gynae next wed, cant wait.
