Amanda – I also was anti-pink, Tallulah’s nursery is turquoise-green-yellow, as well as most of her outfits. But then it does turns out that these cute newborn girls just look too incredible in pink.

It is difficult to follow whose story belongs to whom, I just try and reply to 10 recent posts or so, it makes it easier, especially if you cannot chat often. Shame, I know how you feel about expressed breast milk that was thrown away, it is such a tedious job to do the pumping. Tallulah behaves the same way with the dummy, she literally attacks it and sucks it like her life depends on it.

I liked your story on how you introduced Dieter to his sister.
Juandre and Vision – thank you for advice, I got the jungle juice at Weleda, but I suppose Eglynol is a prescription thing, will have to go to the doctor for that one. Juandre congratulations on your exam, that is remarkable. Vision – happy that your check-up went well.
Angi – Izelle is very sweet and feminine name, it is soft on the tongue, she will love it. Yea, the last stretch is not easy, especially in summer heat, but all these symptoms will be gone within a week after birth. Even my tummy is gone, I didn’t expected that, I look like I never been pregnant.
Ashleigh – seems like you are well organized for your home birth. Preparation is the key, it will carry you through easier. My husband wanted to catch the baby, he insisted that he must, so I said ok fine, but when Tallulah was coming through and into the water, he froze and didn’t make a move, midwife did it all and then he just cut the cord. I felt better that way, he doesn’t have to do what midwife knows the best.
Tallulah is growing fatter and bigger by the day, and developed quite cute double chin.

She is an easy baby, but sleep deprivation is quite a tough thing to handle for me. I am beginning to appreciate my mother even more now, when I know what she went through to bring me up. It never dawns on you, until you give birth to a child. Occasionally I burst into tears, because Tallulah cannot breastfeed, and I am sitting with the stupid pump 8 times a day instead of baby on the breast. May be it’s just the standard “baby blues” that most of us goes through this time. Funny thing, I never looked forward to breastfeeding, when I was pregnant, I thought “someone is going to munch on my boobs, that’s not cool”, but now when it’s not happening I am very upset about it.
