We are leaving for Port Alfred tomorrow morning early! I hope the trip goes well with our little toddler. We were going to sleep over in bloem but my FIL said they place has really gone down (they left yesterday and stayed there) so we are just going to drive straight through At least we will have a full extra day of holiday

I hope you guys enjoy the meet on the 15th of October - I will try pop in next week to say hi and see how you all doing

Ai Carlene, hopefully next week is a bit more relaxed at work. Good luck with the photos tomorrow, my creativity is very low at best of times, so won't be able to send any your way

My suggestion for the meet is: lets keep it on the 15th, maybe just at 09h00? Then I would be able to stay for an hour, leave at 10 again, will let my friend know that we will be 30mins late for the b'day party. That way it will be not as much trouble for all you girls? Sorry about the change in plans!

Well, we had Private Property at our house on Wednesday to take photos and do a virtual tour, when I saw the lady I immediately didn't have a good feeling! When the house came on the website yesterday, I was so disappointed! The first photo on the page where all the houses shows, is one of our roof!!!! . The other photos is small, and she took photos of the furniture not of the rooms! Thats way we paid a bit more, and did not do it ourselves!! I asked DH to phone and tell her to change what she can immediately and that we're not happy with the photos! But, my DH doesn't like complaining and conflict, so told me he would do it today, hopefully he will!

Sorry for being MIA this week. This is one hectic week at work, with Month-end and all.
How early do you want to make it on the 15th? My LG sleeps until 8h or sometimes 8h30, so the earliest that I can make it with her is 9h, otherwise I will come without her. This weekend I must take photo’s at a wedding. Not that I’m looking forward to that, because I don’t get paid, and I do not know the couple at all. My BIL actually asked me three months ago if I will be willing to take wedding pictures for this couple for free. Well, I didn’t have the heart to say no, but I did tell him he must speak to me closer to the time and I will see how I feel. Well, last week he just forwards me a BBM from the Bridegroom that I’m the main photographer and everything. I totally forgot about the whole thing, but how can I say NO now. Well the lady who is organizing the whole thing, phoned me on Monday, saying I must meet them and the other photographer at the wedding venue on Friday. Well, I’m working the whole freaking day and after work I must rush to get my LG to a birthday party. So I do not know what to do… I will phone the bride later today and ask her when she wants me to start to take photos. Hopefully only while she is getting dress, I’m not going to the hairdresser as well. Anyway, now that everything is out, what I wanted to say is, that we can make it this Saturday, but then I don’t know how long I can stay, as I must still get some creativity before the wedding. My creativity levels are less than a 1day old baby at the moment. It is hard enough to focus on my work. If any of you have some spare creativity, please send it my way.
The 29th is my Babyshower and it is at the Atterbury Spur if I’m not mistaken. I think it is 9h30 for 10h00. So if you want to meet that day, it must be before 10h00. And then we must maybe find another place to meet, because I don’t think my friend will be too impressed with me if I sit there while she is trying to get everything ready. I think she is already disgusted in me for figuring out where she is giving the baby shower. Hahaha

Well, I must get back to work. Will try this afternoon at home to catch up on everybody’s posts.

Morning Ashleigh, think carefully about working through your ML, it's tough! You will have 1 small baby and 1 small toddler to look after, and in the end it will be you who will suffer! I worked with my last ML, also worked from home, just went into office about once a week, but I was exhausted some days, and in the end they really do not appreciate the effort you put in! I will never do it again. Especially now with the small age gap between the 2 youngest, and Ewan and Ruan will start school in Jan as well!. But, if you have to, maybe try to arrange very specific times and duties as well as payment/ time off etc.

It will suit me earlier on the 15th, must just see what the other ladies say?

ChubbyChick - you are from a cold part of SA! One of our group companies is in Beth as well, but I have not been to them this year yet! (But the men always complain about the heat and the traffic when they come to PTA for out meetings!) Our company is also in the agricultural industry - so yes, mainly men!! I hope the increase gets sorted! And I agree, what applies to the one has to apply to everyone, so if the supervisor doesn't come into work, they can't force you. I did the same as you, worked through my last ML, not again!!

Maureen, I also want to take leave the same time as you. The problem is, we only get 3 months paid ML. So I want to take Annual Leave from 19th Dec-30th Dec, Paid ML from 02 Jan till end March, and unpaid ML for April. Will see what happens, but I foresee a fight!

Morning ladies

I'm unsure about my maternity leave situation. I can basically run everything from home. The only time that there really needs to be someone at the depo is when clients come and load their orders. So ja need to figure out the details.

Chubby chick - I hope you get that increase.

Zelf - I have seen thoses moses baskets at baby city.

So ladies are we going to keep the meet on the 15th and just make earlier?
