Hello Ladies

Hope you are all well and keeping warm in this cold weather.

I am Ginah, was on moomie in 2010 while I was expecting my
secod LG and left afterwards. I was a month after JB and I think
3months after Mrs S H. Also remember Robyn
I am a Joburg mommy

Glad that all your little ones are doing well.
I am now expecting my third and last baby, who was conceived
as a big surprise but am now happy and over the moon bcoz we
are team blue after two girls (7 and 2). I am due on the 26th of
September but will probably have my csec on the 13th or so. I havent
bought anything for the baby as I have mmost things and it is taboo
in my culture to buy stuff too early. I guess also having done this twice
already I am not in any hurry.

Hope to chat to everyone soon and do personals.

im feeling a bit sick today head ache and its really cold now the winter is here and i dont want to put my aircon on warm to afraid of getting sick.

To all the second time moms - all i can say is good luck im still bewilder by the idea of being a mom very soon and hopefully a good one. i cant give any advice all that i hear is they say your second child is easier than your 1st.

Just a week to go before my next gynea app cant wait!!

Zoe congrats on week 19 thats when i started feeling my lo for the 1st time.

Robyn - sounds almost spooky i hope you have time to relax and catch up on sleep!! and that you feel better very soon.

Mckkim- you are lucky when did you find out the gender? at 16.5 weeks when i was at the gyne our lo was shy at 20 weeks at my dr (we do one app at the dr and one at the gynea because we stay in marble hall and gynea is at mid burg) with a lot of trouble he said he looks like a lg to him but i mustn't start painting the room pink yet!! so we hope to confirm that its a girl next week if its a boy i guess then we will wait till another scan maybe this lo wants to keep it a suprise!! we dont mind the gender either as long as lo is healthy esp after my blighted ovum last year.

Monic@ thanks , you right you learn to live with it but the hurt stays there and esp now that im pg im just thank ful for my moms fiance that will be an oupa for my child he is spoiling this lo very much you must see all the outfits that he bought. he wont replace my dad but im really thankful and i will let my lo call him oupa. but he will know about my dad as well.

@ Robyn: Sorry about your bad weekend. Hope you get well soon, and feel much better.

@ Monic@r: Thanks, I am feeling much better than yesterday. Thankfully hubby made me rest the entire day afterwards and he even prepared lunch and dinner.
My next appointment is on 29 May, so will discuss this episode with her.

@ Joybaby: Great that your bloods all turned out fine. My gynae will discuss my bloods at the end of the month. So waiting in anticipation that all is well.

I'm officially 19 weeks, cant believe that time has just flown by.

I'm experiencing a new problem with my 2 year old cat. She follows me wherever I go. At night she sleeps in her bed, but as soon as we asleep, she jumps in, goes under the duvet and crawls until she is right next to me. She sleeps right there, and refuses to move.
We have tried to lock her out of our room, but she sits at the bedroom door and cries until we let her in.
Also last week, hubby was playing with me, and I pretended that I crying, My cat hissed at hubby and wacked him with her paw on his leg.
She has become very over-protective, as if I'm all hers.
I'm just worried cos I dont want there to be a problem when baby comes.

Any suggestions?????

I'm sick as a dog!!!!
Had such a bad weekend

We had about 6 tiles in our lounge that felt abit hollow, so we thought we would lift them up, fill them and
re-stick them now, so it's all done when we get tenants in and move into our other house
So on Sat morning, we move the furniture and the house literally came alive!!
Not sure if the couch was keeping the tiles down and the cold temperature, but the tiles starting lifting on
their own!!! It was like a giant snake was slithering beneath the tiles and lifting them one by one until
we ended up lifting all the tiles in the lounge, diningroom, passage etc!!!
What a nightmare!! I had to take D out for the day because the dust was unbearable (our entire house was covered in white dust!)
We got a tiler in yesterday to tile but now all our stuff is in the bedrooms - no space at all!
Plus I haven't slept - am so sick - can't breath, sinuses are soooo blocked and sore
And I can't even the day off as my 1 boss is overseas and is sending me sms's to do so much work for him!
But at least we have our scan tom to look forward to!

Belaine, we're team blue . Would have been totally happy with either but he's not been shy at either of the last two scans so things are pretty definite. No idea what we're going to call him though. There are simply too many names out there. Still I guess we've got a few months left to narrow dow the options.

He's kicking like a wild thing. He walloped me at the back of my belly button in the middle of a meeting at work the other day. I almost burst out laughing in front of everyone but it might have been a little difficult to explain.

You should get quite a bit of advise on this thread.

Zoecat - hope you ok after your fainting in Pnp. never nice thing but apparently it can be quite normal. Just make sure that you eat often and small - as this will help so you don't feel like passing out. If this happens again I suggest you talk to your gynea about it. Always be safe than sorry!

Joybaby - good luck with the new job - Im sure it will all go well. And good luck fighting with the medical aid - i hate having to call them. Just so irritating that you pay them monthly but as soon as you need something you have to fight them - just about all the time.

Belaine - sorry about your dad. The hurt will never go away although it does get a bit easier to deal with over time.

robyn - you been a bit MIA. Nice to see you back and congrats on halfway mark.

I had such a busy weekend - i really needed an extra day today to rest and relax and do nothing.
don't have too much to report - just having a scan next week monday for my 24 week mark - shoo 6 months - can't believe how fast time is going. My LO is moving lots and I feel her often which is great. My BF felt her move for the first time on sunday morning. Strange cos I think she moves lots and then I put his hand on and I can feel the movements but he can only feel the real intense ones.

im Scared out of my mind - for when this little one arrives. I have no idea how it is going to be to have a 3 year old and a newborn. It is going to be tough work. I know how it is with a newborn - and now to have a toddler running around too. EISH!!!

Anyways - as with everything - we learn to cope and handle quite quickly. my Mom said she would come stay for the first week until I find my feet. Then once she leaves it will be up to BF to help out....
