THE GIRLS ARE TAKING OVER THE WORLD!!

I was in the shops yesterday afternoon and there ain't much pink stuff to buy - looks like they are selling out quicker than the blue - there are loads of blue stuff. Seems like everyone is having girls!!

Hope you were all spoilt for mothers day.

TMI: so i have piles!!! Do you know what i can use for this?

Other than that - all is well. I feel my LG move all the time. The next scan is 28 May then Ill be 24 weeks - 6 months already!!! Can't believe that in just a few short months there is going to be a baby in my arms!!!

My 3 year old Little Girl - has been acting up terribly. I have tried giving her so much more attention than normal just to see what is up with her - i guess maybe its just this age and my hormones.

Belaine - you asked about emotions - my emotions are running high and I can cry at the blink of an eye - yesterday was a particularly bad day - I just could not do anything without getting all teary eyed. I left work a bit early cos i just couldn't any longer.
Hormones + Emotions + 1x 3 year old = 1 x really crappy day!!

Today I feel better - which is ok. Im going to conquer some work _ the work that that I could not even face yesterday.

My answers - due date 14 September but having a c section looking at either 1 sep or 7 sep - will see closer to the time. 22 weeks now, team pink - again!
I don't think im having a baby shower - unless someone throws me a surprise one. Have only bought a pack of wetwipes, and a pink blanket, and got a cute vest with betty boob on it from my brothers girlfriend - I have sifted through some of my 3 year olds things and looks like I will have more than enough to get started with. I just have to try and get out there and buy a few new things for baba so she does not just get all the hand me downs!!

@Joybaby: Congrats on Team pink!!! A sister for K! That's very exciting. I sometimes show my 2 yr old my belly & say "say hello to your sister". Then she'll say "Tita" and start giggling.

@Joybaby, are they sure? If they are, at least you can start sorting through K's stuff to see what to keep for baba and u can also start shopping! Shopping for LG's is such fun!!! I tried to buy a pressie for a cousin's baby boy last weekend at Woolies. What a mission! I spent about an hour just going back & forth looking for something I liked.

Congrats also on the job!!! Wow, its been a good week for you! Starting on Monday already! I understand your worries about telling them about the pregnancy...but I think employees are generally very understandng with these things these days.

Had our scan this afternoon and all is well.
It looks like yet another Team Pink!!! Kaylee is getting a sister

The same happened on my previous mommy group, almost everyone had girls! Unbelievable!

And I have been offered a job! It's a little less salary than I currently earn but with some potential for growth. Its close to home, and they close for 3 weeks in December which always works well with school closures.
Just gotta finalize with hubby tonight to make sure he's in agreement, and then I start on Monday morning!
I totally forgot to mention the pregnancy because I was so surprised by the quick job offer. So I will have to tell them on Monday. They cannot really discriminate by law but I hope it doesnt change their impression of me. I did also want to wait until the scan before disclosing that info to make sure all was fine!

Im doing a micky/minne mouse theme!! Just two more weeks before my gynea app hope we get to find out the gender for sure!! we have an idea but not 100% sure! although it didnt stop my mom and her fiance from buying pink stuff!

Mil havent bought a single thing yet!! lately all she talks about is how the scans can be wrong sounds more like she is looking for an excuse not to buy anything. She is full of promises havent delivered on anything yet. only time will tell. once at the gynea i have only 12 weeks left cant believe it!!
Really starting to show now and with the winter here im limited to 5 pants only now havent found anything else yet.

Tomorrow this time the exam is almost done, thanks for all the well wishes and support!!

Zoe i like your theme idea!! we have bough our campcot when i was 16 weeks together with one packet of nappies and wetwipes its all we have bought the rest was all gifts mostly from my mom and her fiance.

Jb we are cramped for space so we are also just gonna use the campcot still trying to figure out if the campcot is going to be in our room or in the baby'sroom.

Is it just me or are there any other of you that is also very emotional lately? yesterday i broke down at work, shame my boss even bought me an slab chocolate!!

@Joybaby: thanks for neutral theme ideas. @Zoecat: also thinking of an alphabet and maybe numbers theme. We are not painting the walls though because we are renting, but the half white half lime walls sound very nice. I'm sure it makes the space bright but also "calm" in a way with the soft green. I want the room to be bright and cheerful but also able to be a soft,calm,"safe", warm space for the kids. (I love the sound of that heehee )

I think I will wait though for my next scan and see if baby reveals him/herself. There is no major rush. I think the big items were the actual beds, cot & compactum. The "frills" and decor can come later.@Joybaby,I hope we do use the cot this time :laugh: otherwise it will just be a waste of space cos the thing is massive! I picture the baby playing in the cot while big sister plays in the bedroom & the kids bedroom is also where our helper does the ironing etc...(Note to self: Will that still be safe with a baby around???) although baby will sleep in campcot in our bedroom for 1st year as well (my 2yr old LG STILL sleeps there! :blush: :dry: ) so the big cot will be a kind of "playpen" I guess.

@Joybaby: I am wondering the same things about the scan. I don't want to miss "milestone" scans or scans where certain tests should be conducted. Guess I should just phone gynae and double check.

@ Elamsmom: I know he feeling of the not knowing part.

We have installed wodden flooring, and the wall is half white (top half) and Lime (bottom Half)

There is only so much "Neutral" you can go, so I want to find out LO gender so some color can be added.

@ Joybaby: The theme idea is really good. I was wanting an alphabet theme. So that as little one grows we can teach him or her. But still deciding on a theme. I have come across Polystyrene Alphabets (different sizes) at Westpack in Alberton. I still need to convince DH that its a good idea (if it is)


I'm waiting until I'm 6 months before I buy the Campcot. And the only "baby" thing I have bought so far, was a set of bibs.

I felt LO move for the first time early Thursday morning at 05h45. I was lying in bed, and it was such a moment. I woke DH up and placed his hand on my tummy, but there was nothing. Dh said that little one was just letting me know it's time to get out of bed. LOL

I cant wait for my next scan in two weeks time, I will be 20 weeks then. I can't believe how fast time passing. Soon It will October, and my our lives will change for the better
