Hi Ladies,
Well I haven't been here for ages, Sorry about that. Just been hecticly busy.
Anthea,
I am sooo sorry to hear that your little baby girl is ill! Hope they can determine what the cause is today. I had a lumbar punch when I was about 7 years old. And I can still remember that pain to today. I will definitely keep Morgan in my prayers. Big hug to you too, I can just imagine how difficult this must all be for you!
Tazzy9,
Sorry to hear about Connor as well. Hope he is better real soon. Glad to hear that you got him to latch. It really is so special to breastfeed.
SMA,
Is Tamina doing better on her formula?
AFM,
This might be a bit of a long post so bear with me:
So I too am BF'ding. In the beginning Anja slept very badly. Crying most nights and eventually falling asleep from pure exhaustion from all the crying and screaming.
I was getting worried that my breastmilk wasn't sufficient for her and that she was always hungry. So I took her to get weighed at 4 weeks. I use a private nurse in Garsfontein that specializes in babies and breast feeding. She asked me what blood group hubby and I are. and when I told her I am O+ and hubby A- she told me Anja might be Lactose intolerant and that I should cut ALL forms of dairy from my diet. So now I am on Goats milk products, which tastes great and his also lower in cholesterol.
Anja is sleeping for 7 hours at night now and is much happier and "chatty" during the day.

I took her for her injections on Monday, she was sooo brave. she just whimpered a little. And I am very grateful that it didn't make her sick. she was just very sleepy. I must say the nurse gave her a Viburcol suppository to help keep her calm for the rest of the day. It is a homeopathical suppository that contains chamomile. AWESOME stuff. They give one about 5-10 min before injection and another one 8 hours later.
Other than that she is doing splendidly. He weighs 4.849kg at 6 weeks and is 59cm long.
And I finally got her photo's back from the shoot.
Here are a couple of my favorites...
