Aww Anthea...I hope they induce you next week, it is rather horrible to "suffer" like that in this weather especially. I can imagine just how gatvol and uncomfortable you are right now

Cherikey Colby is gorgeous!!

Jody is doing quite well...we had a few bumpy nights but its going great now. He wakes up once at night for a feed and then again between 5 and 6am And just so you you know, I'm not a morning person but clearly I don't have a choice His navel fell off on Saturday (7days old) and now the kids are fighting to keep him.

How is the breastfeeding going?
A friend of mine suggested I try and feed in a routine...she did it with her daughter : 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm and then again 2am. Even when she went back to work she was fed at that times and I must say it sounds better than demand feeding. At the moment I'm feeding every 2 -3 hrs but Jody seems to fall asleep on the breast all the time.
What are your thoughts?

I'm not planning to introduce him to the bottle any time soon.

SMA - perhaps its the heat thats making you so fatigued? I feel the same hey!

AFM - i went to the doc today for our (almost) 37 week scan and check up. The swollen ankles are attributable to a Urinary Tract Infection - dangerous in itself cos it can cause early labour.... He is very happy with her weight and will do an internal exam on the 10th... If all looks good he will then induce labour He wants to see us first thing in the morning, with our hospital bag so if he is happy then we may be meeting Morgan next week already!!! EEEKKKK!!! Really hope we can induce then, i am really gatvol and struggling with the pregnancy this time around. At the scan today she is weighing 3kgs already so at least its a healthy weight... and because my daughter came at 38weeks, he is happy to induce this one close to 38weeks too!

I must say i am quite relieved to have a probable date set.... One week to go!!!!

So now to finalise the packing of the bag - getting the last few stuff sorted and bought, and finalising the room too! We still have a few shelves to put up and pack the cot right!

Its quite exciting!!

In the meantime i am booked again on bedrest till the 10th for the infection, and then my maternity leave will start when we induce!

@Tazzy9 - how did your scan go?

Hi ladies

Nothing on my side yet, still very quiet actually, like nothing happening, nada, even less braxton hicks...well let me not say nothing is happening, rather I do not feel anything happening
No there is one thing....it's like at night she "knocks" on my cervix I really can't think of a better word, cos it really feels like that, and she doesn't just press down, she really knocks, like one pillow inbetween my legs is not enough, I feel like having my legs wiiiiiide open when she does that. So I guess she's helping soften the cervix, can't wait for my midwife to check me on Friday.

The herbs are okay hey, not that bad tasting. I'm drinking 2 cups a day till Friday, after I hear what's going on I'll increase to 3. normally after a cup I get a tightening but not for long or not intense, like the ones I've been getting since like 26 weeks...but hopefully it's doing something...

Anthea and Tazzy, you're lucky you'll still see your bubs, I'm now done with the gynae, only midwife consultations. Enjoy the scans!!!!

Tracyo please do post some pics, sounds like that will be one big baby

Cherikey he's sooo cute, and big, doesn't look like a newborn you know you know like tiny and still a bit alien-ish hahaahhha. I'm sooo happy for you, gosh can't wait to say the same things...gotta say this waiting is kinda frustrating....at times...
