We are home & settling in quite nicely! Last night was a struggle to get Colby to sleep but by 11 he was down & only woke once for a feed...

He is a truly special bundle of joy & i can't stop cuddling him & just watching him.

Hello mommies - I hope everyone had a good New Years and I wish you all the best for 2013!!!!

Anthea - you must really be taking strain with your ankles so swollen - get lots of rest and stay off your feet - let us know what Dr says tomorrow!!!

Tazzy9 - good luck with your last couple of working days

Nadia - good luck with your caeser today - thinking of you - cannot wait to see some pics!

AFM - we are booked for 8am tomorrow - I am REALLY nervous but I am also really excited - we have been packing like crazy to get as much done before tomorrow and I must say I am exhausted most of the time - baby really big now (she was 3.4kg at last Dr visit and that was 2 weeks ago). - I was asked if I am having twins the other day.......

Yes indeed, its very painful - the swelling... Seeing the doc tomorrow too for our 36week 4day scan so haven't contacted him yet about the swollen "cankles"! Was also planning on working till 38 weeks but just don't have the energy anymore. Will do what I can from home before baby comes!

Anthea - shame? Did you contact your Dr, your feet look really swollen?

Im back at work today working till 38 weeks so 8 working days to go!!

Sma - how the herbs going? haha Come on little one!! Get your hubby to massage the your ankles, heard that brings on labour? Or better yet go for a pedi and get them to give you one!!

My word - Im struggling - my back is killing me especially at night, I dreamt last night I was in labour thats how saw my back was I woke up panting!!

Seeing Dr tomorrow for 36 weeks 4 days - cannot wait to see how big how boy is!!

Oouch Anthea that looks sore in that tingling way. Won't they just give you water pills or something? But I guess you can have it checked out if it doesn't go down cos I know it shouldn't stay like that for long

I did start drinking the herbs yesterday, not bad, good thing my husband had an extra strainer, those manual ones, cos he would have never let me make herbal tea in his coffee one ..

SMA - hahaha! I wish she could permanently hold the tummy up for me

I have a Cherished Belly belt too from the last pregnancy - thanks for reminding me to pack it into the hospital bag! The Carriwell range also has something similar - some Organic belt to help bind the stomach!

Also heard the raspberry leaf tea helps, as well as evening primrose oil capsules... Wanna start drinking it both after our doc visit on Thurs....

Wanna post pics of my feet - am very worried... Should i go to the hospital and have it checked out?

Well I'm defo still a Jan mom, absolutely nothing happening anytime soon hahaha, which is okay cos my house is a mess ... The heat is better today, so then I might catch up on sleep during the day, poor house haha. I am now waking up to moisturise my skin, still amazed at how the skin can stretch.

Went to look for Cherished Belly, that post-pregnancy belt, and they had one extra small left....sucks... Was at Sandton City, will try Rosebank when I get the energy.

Oh, raspberry herbal, anyone using it? My midwife suggested I drink it cos I got scar tissue on my very hard long and closed cervix. I should actually start today but I haven't bought it. And I can't manage long walks that she suggested on top of that, tsjo my back kills me!! And my hips, it's like she settles lower as I walk...well I guess that's what should happen ... But ya, the discomfort is such a turn off ... But ya, she'll want to see changes at our 39 weeks check up this week...eish... Okay it just hit me, I'm due next week Friday!!!!!!! ... Wow, next week, feels good to say that.....
