Hi Mommies

Just a quick update on my GTT result...

Sadly the doc wasn't too happy with my results and diagnosed me with gestational diabetes I got some tablets to use and Sunday I'm being admitted to hospital so that I can be monitored. Doc says baby is doing quite fine which makes me very happy to hear. I just have to follow a strict eating plan to ensure that it doesn't get worse and to ensure that my sugar levels stays normal.

I love all the scan pics and the bumps and baby rooms...

Hi Ladies

So nice to hear all your news.. cant believe how close we all are to becoming mommies  well most of you are already so mommies again!
I went for my 32 week scan yesterday and oh my word, Connor is a BIG BOY – the Dr even moved my C-SEC date up by a week so its now scheduled for the 18th Jan. He is weighing 2.2kg already and has super long legs, his legs measure 34 weeks – must be getting cramped in there.

@Cherikey, love your 4d pics, so special. We also went to the baby show this weekend, I loved it. We brought our pram, car seat, high chair and lots of bitz and bobs so spent a fortune but we are sorted now  Yay! I also brought 1 of those breastfeeding tops you told us about, wish I brought more than 1, will order online, they fab.

@Babylove – love you bump pic

@SMA – so glad u finally went shopping, you very brave leaving it till 35 weeks. Enjoy your last few days of work – lucky girl!!

@Anthea – your rooms are gorgeous, you must be so happy to be settled so you can start nesting. I love your chair, we ordered a feeding chair, waiting for it to be delivered. Cant wait to have the room sorted.
Do you ladies all have mosquito nets in your room over the cots? I don’t know if we need one?

@Kelz – Have you looked on OLX? Or Mysteries? Heard you can buy cheap ones there then paint them yourself?

@Chrisy – love you little girls name

@Tanz – hope baba stays snug until he is ready to come out

Im good otherwise – no real complaints except the usual aches and pains. My Dr gave me Nexium for heartburn, have u ladies heard of it? It’s a miracle drug, I take 1 every 3 days and have no heartburn what so ever. He said its perfectly safe in pregnancy
Cannot wait for this year to end and meet my prince..

Hi All!

Hope you are all well, sorry been MIA. I have a a rough few weeks since mid Oct. Been in and out of hospital with growth issues and leaking amniotic fluid...

But it all looks better now, baby weighing 1.9kg now, still small but not worrying anymore. Doctor still seems to think I won't make January. So we might be expecting him around Christmas...

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with pinched nerves. Think my little baba is also pinching a nerve, 'cause my one leg is in constant pain.
Really happy for you that the move is done! Now you can work on getting baba's room ready!

Sorry to hear that you are working with a bunch of men that don't really grasp pregnancy. I work with my husband and brother-in-law. They also want me to work beginning of next year. I said I would try to help them out but will have to work from home... We'll see how that goes, but we have an understanding that if it all gets to be too much, I stop working. But I believe it is different for family businesses.
Your little boy sounds so cute...

You can Donate your old clothes to the Hospice, they take ANYTHING, and it goes to a very good cause! There is an office on the corner of Gen Louis Botha and Linwood Road.

Glad baby is doing well. 2.5kg, very good, so baba should be around 3 - 3,5kg at birth?

Apart from the painful legs and shortness of breath, I don't have any complaints.
Going to see the doctor again on Thursday for our 34 week scan. Will post belly pic tomorrow.
