hahahaha well it's going to leave us broke!!! Gotta make a 20% co-payment on Genesis fees, paying midwife privately cos my stupid medical aid doesn't recognise midwives....so ya, maybe that's why my husband is reluctant

You're very lucky to have Genesis as an option. I'm super jealous!

Hi ladies!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: .....wish I felt so energetic....

I'm a Jan mom also, new to Moomie and loving it...EDD 11 Jan...

31.5 weeks today, seeing my midwife on Friday, only second consultation  ...started seeing her at 30 weeks after rather unpleasant experiences with 2 gynaes. My husband is worried about Genesis, he's coming with to this appointment so hope he has his fears settled.

Backache backache backache....my middle name....my true companion....carrying bigger this time.....3rd pregnancy...2nd child.... But aaaaahhhhh even though 11 Jan feels like it's another 9 months away, it shall come, I shall just breathe in and out till then....hakuna matata....

Very jealous Cherikey!!! Have a blast hey!! Pity about the weather not cooperating but hope it clears up soon!

Your list is very thorough... Basically what is on most lists found in magazines or on the net. That netcare bag is highly recommended - we bought one for a lady who gave birth at Wilgers... It really has all the toiletries, in sample sizes so you dont have to lug the big ones to the hospital for only a few days... The bag costs R250... Just so much easier than going to buy each individually... i actually think you buy at any Stork's Nest clinic...

So we have a touch up Ante natal class scheduled for the 22nd of November at Femina... its from 430 till 8 and cover any questions we have... its only us and another couple. we work through the material before hand and then she addresses any concerns we might have... a real refresher course... the one day course is unfortunately the day of the baby shower so luckily we had this to fall back on.

I didnt mind the naternity ones in the beginning as i bled quite heavily the first few days but once they were finished i also used the biggest Always ones i could find... also did the same with the Pep panties Cherikey - great minds think alike! :woohoo:

Have a great day!

Thanks Juwayraj...

Yes, the maternity ones that hospital provided i found were super thick & skinny so felt awful down there. I didn't buy any (as i was unprepared at 35 weeks), so not sure what others are like. But my mom also just bought me those big Always type pads & they worked perfectly well. Better than the ones the hospital provided in fact!

Here are two pics, one is of my princess yesterday playing in the sand on the beach and the other is her hugging my bump by the pool...

Thanks so much for this Cherikey, the list will be very helpful...

I also hate those horrible maternity pads and use Always Ultra Night...the long ones that almost cover your whole backside, lol. They work perfectly well!

I'm so jealous of you laying in the sun
You should enjoy every minute of it!
