Hi Ladies

So lovely to hear all your news and how your babies are growing - I am so happy to be 3 weeks away from viability, Im such a panic mechanic. We went for our 24 week scan but I was a little dissappointed, we saw the midwife instead of our Dr and her machine isnt as cool as his so she could tell us his weight or legnth etc which I was dying to know. Main thing is lil Connor is perfect and growing nicely :)

You have made my week with this breast pump info - what a huge saving!! I cannot wait to go to Dischem and buy one :) I went to look yesterday - which is the best - The swing or the mini electric with 2 pumps?

@Cherikey congrates on the car - what is it? I have been car shopping to, I have a little 2 door car so its definitly time for an upgrade, no ways I will manage with a baba and no back doors? I wish I could get the IX35 but its a tad out of my price range!

I also collected my discovery bag this week, I just love adding to my collection - Im so excited for this baba, it consumes my every thought!

What are you ladies thoughts of stem cells? We have been researching it quite a bit and our Dr seems to be quite pro about it all. At the moment there is no certainty as to what stem cells can cure but would like to think in 10/15 years time there will be but hope like anything we wont ever need to use them. Its a huge financial commitment but more security than anything else.

I have bad really bad back pain lately, Dr said is cyatic pain and bad cramping which scared the crap out of me but thats about all. My preggy roll has been a life saver and I have been sleeping so much better with it!! THANK YOU GIRLS!

Have attached a pic of my expanding belly!! I just love it!!

Hope you all have a super weekend

Good Morning ladies - Almost weekend (Finally!!)

I'm finishing up at the beginning of Jan even though I wont be going in until around the end of Jan - I'm then just taking 1 months annual leave so I can still be off until May. I do then lose out on 2-3 weeks at home with baby, but having not had a holiday since last year September my body is just screaming out for a little break - plus I have the cover at work, so if not why not ;)

Tanz: Call Discovery and tell them you are pregnant (you must do this for the goody bag but also because they must pre-authorize your hospital stay) they will then give you an authorization code for your due date (which you can change at any time and your number will stay the same) and email you a voucher for your goody bag (You mentioned that you didn't get your vitality card yet, so be sure to mention that) You then go to any Toy's R Us or Reggies with your voucher and they give you your bag. In there is nappies/wipes/bottle/dummy/comforter/things for mummy/a big very useful book and tons of other vouchers for Nappies and prams/car seats etc. The only catch is that this is the bag from Discovery, so if the hospital try and give you another one, you may have to pay for it because Discovery have already supplied one.
Hope this helps! I'm also gonna try out the breast bump with discovery!

Congrats on the new car Cherikey :-)

Hope everyone has a great day further. I'm already busy with handover for work..sounds early I know, but I basically have to train her from scratch on everything I do..I do not want a bunch of phone calls whilst I am on leave...

Thanks tracyo, I will defnitely consult with them. Can anyone tell me what exactly must happen for me to also recieve this "goody bag" that everyone gets from discovery? When are you supposed to get it? Are you supposed to let them know that you are pregnant? And how?? We were on Medihelp with R's birth so I don't know how this stuff works...

tracyo - I am also finishing on the 21st (when the company closes). I am also planning on putting a months annual leave in and hopefully having 5 months with my boy in stead of just 4... They way its going now though, I might only have 15 extra days... Oh the joys of having a sick child all through winter!

Have a great day all!
